I think this year green may be the new colour de jour for rock n roll brides. I have been sent a couple of gorgeous green girlies recently...do I see a new trend emerging? You will probably remember Amy from her stunning bridals that I shared recently. Well photographer Brandi was nice enough to send me the full wedding to report. I am crazy about the florals (I'll probably never tire of peacock feather bouquets!), the bridesmaid's and groomsmen's awesome purple combos which looks fab against Amy... and still of course, her shoes! I seem to be getting sent a lot of cuuute engagement sessions recently and this submission from Ashley & Stephanie of the gorgeously named White Rabbit Studios is no different. Amy & Randall had this fun and offbeat session in North Alabama with their friends and photographers (having photographer friends really is the best!) and I think they turned out great. The two are very unique and Amy brought a slew of props to play with during the session. We swooned as Randall serenaded the woman he loves, and giggled as they kissed in between their sips on wine. I really do love sharing weddings from the UK. Southampton based Az sent me Julia & Simon's quintessentially vintage English wedding and I just love it. The personal touches like the individually personalised beer bottles and the vintage finds such as the tea sets which the couple spent months scouring charity shops for all made their day perfect. Andie & Dave are just wicked! As photographer Channing Johnson told me, "the groom being a musician and having a lot of past and present band-member guests make them a very rock n roll couple! They also looked fab with their tattoos and bangs." Good enough for me! The couple, who met whilst both working at Newbury Street Comics, Boston, went back to the very street to reminisce and get these beautiful shots. Next up - the wedding! OK OK excitement must been contained (although I nearly did squeal to myself in a crowded newsagents whilst on my own earlier today!) Those of you following me on Twitter or Facebook may already know but I am now a fully fledged and published writer. Oh yes how ridiculous is that! Me?! Meeeee?!! About a month ago I was contacted by the editor of Photo Pro Magazine who had seen my blog and liked what he saw. He wanted me to write a monthly column for them entitled 'Best of Blogs' where I could not only share some of my favourite wedding photographers every issue but I could write about blogging...my two favourite subjects! So without further ado here it is - article number one.

Holy moly I have certainly hit the ground running today, it;s not even 11am and this is my third post of the day so far! I'm sure you can see why the mass posting is necessary though, I couldn't let these little babies sit in my inbox untouched for long surely. The 'Jactonio' (Jaclyn & Antonio) wedding is more than just a little bit rad. It took place in New York and was a day full of warmth, tattoos, rock music and of course lurrrve. Evita & Micheal had a very uniquely styled wedding and 'day after shoot' (which actually took place 4 months after the wedding but who's counting?) The whole glorious wedding is featured in the Fall issue of Weddings Unveiled Magazine (and will be on their blog, Completely Unveiled, later this week) but I was over the moon when Evita asked if I would like to share their American Gothic style photo shoot too. I fell in love with the fashion. Her fabulous dress, made from a slightly altered vintage Vogue Pattern (8416) with silk from Clarence House even had a matching corset which she wore underneath! Her feather hat was from Frock of Ages and those amazing customised shoes by Andrew Geller, originally from Stefan's Vintage Clothing and quite frankly to die for. Evita explained: I had them resoled at Peter & Sons in South Windermere shopping center. Insoles and toe embellishments done by me. Sterling acorn brooches were purchased on eBay. Swarovski hot fix rhinestones are olivine Thanks to Evita & Michael for sharing their shoot and details with us. I can not wait to see the whole wedding in Weddings Unveiled Magazine soon! A City Hall ceremony doesn't have to mean a quicky wedding. Herdah & Jonathan had a pretty damn glamorous but intimate and chic wedding at San Francisco's City Hall followed by an even more glamorous but similarly unconventional reception at E&O Trading Company. Hardah wore a dress by Lian Carlo Couture and shoes by Kate Spade. The beautiful flowers and suculents were put together by Herdah's best friends and bridesmaids, the cupcakes were from Kara's Cupcakes . Stunning. Alex & David's wedding was a super suave, quirky and stylish London affair. Her stunning dress was actually a modified David Fielden number and suited her perfectly - not too bridal but not too boring! The wedding took place at The Larder in Clerkenwell where the couple added their own personal stamp with DIY touches, homemade cupcakes and a Mr Wippy ice cream van handing out ice creams after the ceremony.

Right now, well what can I say that could possibly live up to these? The very lovely Rosalie of the Tea and Whimsy blog booked my buddy David McNeil for her wedding to James last month. She has gone over all the details, budget saving tricks (they only spent about £4000 on the whole thing!) and DIY gems on her site, but I'm just here to share the swoonfest that is these photographs...oh and to draw your attention to her freakin' awesome bouquet! Yes those are real (dyed) roses!
