Tyson & Courtney are a quirky and creative couple and so what else would be perfect for their wedding than what full of quirks and creating! I'm taking a break from less pretty stuff to share this gorgeous session by Cathy Empey. Cathy attended a photography workshop held by Jessica Claire and took these a-a-amazing images whist she was there. The details are of course fabulous (check out that super duper cute newspaper decorated cake & cake topper!) but her perspective is what really drew me in to these...stunning. Evita & Micheal had a very uniquely styled wedding and 'day after shoot' (which actually took place 4 months after the wedding but who's counting?) The whole glorious wedding is featured in the Fall issue of Weddings Unveiled Magazine (and will be on their blog, Completely Unveiled, later this week) but I was over the moon when Evita asked if I would like to share their American Gothic style photo shoot too. I fell in love with the fashion. Her fabulous dress, made from a slightly altered vintage Vogue Pattern (8416) with silk from Clarence House even had a matching corset which she wore underneath! Her feather hat was from Frock of Ages and those amazing customised shoes by Andrew Geller, originally from Stefan's Vintage Clothing and quite frankly to die for. Evita explained: I had them resoled at Peter & Sons in South Windermere shopping center. Insoles and toe embellishments done by me. Sterling acorn brooches were purchased on eBay. A City Hall ceremony doesn't have to mean a quicky wedding. Herdah & Jonathan had a pretty damn glamorous but intimate and chic wedding at San Francisco's City Hall followed by an even more glamorous but similarly unconventional reception at E&O Trading Company. Hardah wore a dress by Lian Carlo Couture and shoes by Kate Spade. The beautiful flowers and suculents were put together by Herdah's best friends and bridesmaids, the cupcakes were from Kara's Cupcakes . Stunning. Alex & David's wedding was a super suave, quirky and stylish London affair. Her stunning dress was actually a modified David Fielden number and suited her perfectly - not too bridal but not too boring! The wedding took place at The Larder in Clerkenwell where the couple added their own personal stamp with DIY touches, homemade cupcakes and a Mr Wippy ice cream van handing out ice creams after the ceremony.Read more...

I'm sure most of blog land will have seen and heard of The Langs before without even knowing it. Their engagements, wedding, portraits and anniversary shoot (all photographed by the uber talent that is Sloan Photographers) have certainly made the rounds and with huge justification. Yes. Wow. So you can imaging my excitement and surprise to get an email from Stacie, one half of the duo to let me know that her and Geoff have ventured into wedding photography themselves and would I like to be the first blog to share some of their work...erm Hell to the YES I would. I predict big things for these guys. Mark my words, blog land will be all over these two within a matter of weeks. Anyway, lets get onto the actual wedding they sent me and boy is it a beauty. Kerri & Kyle had a carnival themed wedding and I'm not talking a few little touches - I mean full out actual carnival awesomeness! The couple did everything themselves and on a very small budget but they had the full works - An actual balloon lady, bubbles, cotton candy, photo booth, popcorn, soda bar, candy bar and of course lots of dancing! Lucky Monica & Peter had two wedding days. Ok so I was going to attempt to wait until mid nest week for the blogging of these little beauties but hell, I'm waaay too impatient. Ermm...wow. My mind is officially blown. Photographer and rock n roll sponsor, Katja Mukhina sent me these the other day after I saw a sneak peek on her flickr stream and begged her to send the rest to me as soon as they were ready! This 'Love Story' shoot was shot and conceived without the use of photo shop. The images behind the couple are all rear projections - super vintage Hollywood cinema stylee. I can not get over these....lordy lord they are so beeeautiful. Dear all my American readers... Katja will be travelling to The States In October and staying until November. Trsiha & John got married at Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes which is actually old marine land. Trisha told me all about it: I think that we took the traditional/ all American black, red, and white wedding and added some wild flare and edgy fun! I wanted something wild yet simple and romantic all at the same time! My dress was by Bonny. My bridesmaid dresses were by Watters & Watters. The guys tux's were from Mens Warehouse and my flowergirl wore a tutu was from chasing fireflies and adorable red, sparkly converse trainers! Katherine & Ethan's wedding is breathtaking. The location, the venue, the details (Katherine co-ordinated her bridesmaid's with individual dresses from Anthropologie and matched the colours with their bouquets) the woodland and rock portraits.
