Stand by for Las Vegas awesome - part deux! Jessica & John's diy fest. of a wedding makes me happieeee indeed. Not only does Jessica look ridiculously haaawt in her Oleg Cassinidress and homemade jacket but the whole affair was so personal and diy fabulous - who said Vegas wedding were tacky? Jessica spent a lot of time getting her diy projects just right. She made everything from the decor to the flowers, from the gift bags to the table runners and photo booth. Here is a run down of the whole shebang..

That's what photographer Belletold me when these landed in my inbox last week. "Katie and Aaron wanted a shoot that really captured their intimacy and also their unique sense of style. Aaron is an aspiring fashion designer. His line is called "Anticonformity and Filthy", and most of what him and Katie are rockin' in the photos are his creation. Never judge a book by its cover, because while they may look edgy in the photos, they were one of the sweetest couples to work with."

Is your mind ready to be blown?! Half way through the reception, Kestrin changed into a green vintage number. Made by Rebellion Dogs, Kestrin said: “It felt like I was wearing a ladybug tutu, an absolute dream.” She found it on a whim, just before the wedding, at Talun on Echo Park Blvd in LA..

As a general rule, I don't like to feature weddings that have been seen on other blogs. I figure that if they're on one blog you'll have seen them and there is nothing more boring than seeing the same wedding/story over and over again...plus that's why I started Thursday Treats, to give you a definitive round up just in case you've missed anything epic in blog land. However, rules are made to be broken and when I saw Kestrin & Jonathan's wedding, firstly on photographer Noa's facebook and then on uber blog Style me Pretty I knew I'd have to share some of these images with you too. Incredible doesn't even cover it.

There is no other way to describe this Warwick Castle shoot than kick ass. Is photographer Steve Gerrard fo' real? I can't get over how much I adore these and how much I want to be this bride! "I’m one of the castle’s recommended wedding photographers" Steve explained "so when I asked the lovely Katie Hill at the castle about doing the shoot, she was more than helpful, even allowing us to shoot long after the public had to leave the venue." Steve was helped along by local vendors The Bridal Boutique who donated a dress and The Blossom Tree who helped out with the flowers. Steve wanted to shoot two different sides of the bridal story so he found Steph, a classic English rose (you can see her session here)and Laura - the gorgeous, heavily tattooed chicka you see below. Rock-the-hell-on!

After featuring Alissa & Rich's crazy-stylish engagement last May, I couldn't wait to see their wedding and they certainly haven't disappointed! Alissa told me all about their 'vintage, rustic, chic' wedding. "After an extensive search for a photographer, we found Laura Grier at Beautiful Day Photography. We fell in love with her laid back photo-journalistic style and her infectious positive energy. Through Laura, we ended up finding our wedding location, Figueroa Mountain Farmhouse in Los Olivos, California, based on the photos from one of the gorgeous weddings she shot there."

Courtney & Dan got married at MGM signature patio, Las Vegas, and had their Rock n Rollin' Reception at Diego's restaurant in MGM. The couple both love Cinco De Mayo, collect hot sauce, their first date was at a Mexican restaurant and they love Mariachi bands, so the wedding has a slight Mexican theme. Courtney originally had a traditional wedding dress, but a few days before she got on the plane to Vegas she went to the fitting to find her dress was to small. It was fate! Courtney knew there wasn't going to be enough time to fix it, so she went to a prom shop in Philadelphia and found this gorgeous dress.

My bestest friend is called Carly so I had an instant affinity to this bridal shoot when I saw it and found out the bride was called Carley (different spelling but same same) The fact that it's so damn cool is what makes it instantly blogable. Carley wore a David's Bridal dress (style 5154, by Michaelangelo) and froliced around a beautiful purple garden for her bridal shoot with Oeil Photography.

My life is nuts. Nuts. I don't exactly know how all this has happened but I'm doing the job I love, practically full-time, I'm getting featured in magazines, I've got people wanting to do photo shoots with me and now I've been featured in a new book by Emma Jones of Enterprise Nation all about 5-9ers - people like me who work a 'day' job and then in their spare time run their own business from home. Exciting huh?!

This week's Sunday lovin' could only go to one pair of girlies. Emma & Laura of the way-too-fabulous, chic and uber cool Fur Coat No Knickers. Their beautiful store is filled to the rafters with amazing vintage dresses and if you're on the hunt for a one-of-a-kind, genuine vintage gown then look no further! They are located in Kingsly Court, just off Carnaby St in London. I can't reveal too much about why they're my Sunday lovin' gals this week...yet...but if you follow me on Twitter you may have pieced together a few sneakly left clues about what I'm upto next week. There is muchos excitements in Rock n Roll Bride land this coming week and I can't wait to share it all with you...

All the Colours of the Rainbow

Jackie & John's massively colour-filled wedding makes my heart sing with joy. Any couple who can't settle on one colour scheme and go for all the colours is awesome in my book. Those bridesmaids - oh yes! The wedding took place at 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky - an art gallery space that is quite minimalist so not to take away from the art on the walls. The couple let the venue do what it does best and didn't worry about adding their own decorations. "Decor was not a big priority to us because I respected the venue's integrity on it's own" Jackie told me. "I'm an art history major so it was great to find a venue that reflected that. Plus, 99% of our guests were from out of town, so it was nice to have everything - the ceremony, reception and after party - all under one roof. Everyone partied until they had to cut the band off and then simply staggered upstairs to bed. More than a few out of town guests thanked us for that. I can not speak highly enough of the staff there. We had taken our party upstairs to a couple of hotel rooms and the hotel was getting a couple noise complaints, but instead of telling us to keep it quiet and kill the party, they opened up a meeting room space down in the basement and let us bring our own food, drinks and iPod speakers in and stay as late as we want. My husband and I finally crawled away to our room at 3:30 am or so but I'm told people were in the meeting room until well past sunrise."

With a name like Devereaux, it was pretty much a dead cert. that her wedding would be cool and chic, and that her dress would be vintage and fabulous. The dress came from Timelessvixen, which she teamed with a feather fascinator from Pegasusmaiden and 'Stephanie' shoes by Coloriffics. She also wore a vintage coat and clutch bag which she already had in her wardrobe.

Shaun & Jacinta must be every wedding photographer's dream clients! With Jacinta being a fashion designer and Shaun an illustrator, their wedding was always going to be too damn cool for words. Jacinta designed and made her own dress over 3-4 weeks which incorporated a print designed by Shaun (!) The pair worked together to decide on few ideas of what to have in the design to make it perfect for them and to represent both their families. They wanted it to include a Maltese cross to represent Jacinta’s heritage and one of Shaun’s mother’s favourite flowers, Chrysanthemums.

I have much love for Chicago photographer Jeremy Lawson and it's always a pleasure to feature his Rock n Roll weddings - especially when they are as awesome as the one of Mary & Alton. The wedding took place at the uber cool Salvage One, which, with it's awesome signage and rustic, almost derelict, antique market interior provided the perfect backdrop to the event. Mary's vintage look was provided by local Chicago design Jess Audey who custom made her beautiful dress and Antje Kastner at Tigerlilie who did her retro/rockabilly style hair and make up.

The Julia Boggio Studios Grand Opening

Last Thursday I was lucky enough to be invited to the fancy pants grand opening of the Julia Boggio Studios in Wimbledon, London. Not only was it the very studio that Julia and I did my vintage boudoir shoot but I was able to meet a load of new people from the UK wedding industry as well as catch up with some old friends. I headed up to London with the lovely Lisa of Magpie Vintage. Before the party we paid a visit to our friends at Luella's Boudoir in Wimbledon who kitted us out with sparkles and shoes (Lisa nabbed some gorgeous Emmy shoes and I borrowed a beeeautiful Magpie Vintage headband - and yes I wanted to keep it!) We then all piled back in Lisa's car and made our way to Merton Abbey Mills where Julia's studio is located.

I was contacted by them soon after the Sew feature came out as they too were running a wedding special and wanted me to help them with ideas, inspiration and to put them in touch with some brides who did it themselves when it came to their wedding day gems. Something Blue

Jessica & Karl got married in the city of Stockholm, Sweden, in the Södermalm region to be precise, which is apparently one of the coolest urban areas of the country. The wedding had a distinctly blue theme which perfectly reflected the countries nature. "Blue is as Swedish as it gets with it being the dominant colour in the flag" photographers Cole & Jakob told me "and a lot of that has to do with the importance of the ocean to the countries culture. Even the archipelago that Stockholm is built amongst is surrounded by the blue of the sea, and that colour was an underlying theme through the planing of this wedding." Jessica wore a dress by Design by Marja Collection with a beautiful handmade hairpiece by Percy Handmade and a flawless hair net made by Tied and Feathered. Karl wore a Western North Carolina tie from Me & Matilda which again matched their 'something blue' theme.
