Like pretty much the whole of blog-land, I am uber smitten with anything Jonas Peterson produces, so when he sent me a super secret sneak peek of Eliesha & Joel's wedding a few weeks ago I was literally jumping up and down with anticipation of featuring it. A gorgeous couple (hello geek chic fabulous - how much does Eliesha rock her glasses?!) a stunning location and awesome photography - how can you go wrong?! Oh and don't even get me started on Eliesha's floral head band...I literally die!

"When I was little, I dreamed of having my very own big, white wedding," began Hannah. "However, when Jack and I decided to get married and started to make plans, it became apparent that even if we’d been able to afford it, we’d both feel out of place at a huge, formal gathering. What we really wanted was to have a great party with our families and mates, a party that just happened to include a wedding ceremony. So we threw ourselves into the planning and tried to make it ours." And that's exactly what this Rock n Roll couple did! The entire day reflected them and the things they love.

"We were inspired by the 'no care' attitude & 'just have fun' vibe of the 1920s," explained Charlene & Rommel. "We both loved the story of The Great Gatsby, and how carefree everyone seemed whenever they'd go to one of Gatsby's parties. We wanted to create that kind of laid-back, fun atmosphere for our wedding."

I'm not one to boast, but I'm pretty chuffed that photographer Galaxie Andrews chose Rock n Roll Bride to showcase this amazingly stunning wedding. The bride is Monique, the uber talented designer and owner of Rock n Roll Bride favourite, Ouma Clothing, and her marriage to John really is a match made in Rock n Roll heaven. The details of this wedding are killing me...and don't even get me started on her dress. Epic isn't even the word!

Not only have I got top secret and super-bloomin'-exciting new projects that I'm already working on for the new year (watch this space!) but a few weeks ago I was emailed by a PR friend of mine asking if I'd like to be involved in the brand new Designer Vintage Bridal Show, which is happening in Birmingham, UK in February!

Rebecca & John's beautiful Tennessee wedding took place at Almost Heavens Wedding Resort. With quirky details and elegant 50's styling, this really was a wedding worthy of Rock n Roll credentials. The bride wore a Paloma Blanca gown with awesome Irregular Choice shoes and a vintage veil that she found at a friend's yard sale. A friend of the bride who is a costume designer re-worked it for her to suit the style she was going for. She carried and vintage lace parasol.

"It sure is," came the response, "My lovely friend Rebecca was married last month in Gatlinburg, TN. Before her wedding, we did a very special photoshoot with her Aunt Dolly at a family home in Sevierville. Since Dolly is not only Rebecca’s aunt, but also her godmother, Rebecca had the idea to do a shoot where Dolly acts as her fairy godmother, who has come to get her ready for her big day. Unless you've been living under a rock recently, you won't have failed to notice that a certain Prince William and Kate Middleton are getting married next April. Now, whist I have to admit, the whole thing doesn't excite me as much as a lot of wedding -obsessives (will their wedding be Rock n Roll? I think not!) I do love a good royal theme. I love crowns so much I have one tattooed on my arm and I actually own a number of things on this list already! I love ostentatious tiaras and I actually wore the Butler & Wilson skull tiara to my Rock n Roll party. The Evans Litchfield cushions adorn my sofa and the crown ring can regularly be spotted on my finger! I even wore a version of the Irregular Choice shoes for the Mad Hatter photo shoot.

If there's one thing that makes a wedding blogger's heart go a-flutter, it's lots of lovely details - gorgeous ideas that you, dear reader, can sneakily steal for your own weddings. So, when I was sent this utterly gorgeous rustic/Rock n Roll (who says the two can't merge!?) it took me all of about 30 seconds to say yes to featuring it. Moustache cookies (and shoes!), cute typography, mis-matched bunting, multi coloured florals a-plenty and a cake covered in different coloured bow ties (seriously dying over here.) Oh yes, this blogger certainly approves!

Charlie & Jo's reception took place the day before their ceremony and that's not the only thing about this awesome wedding that was unconventional. "We decided to get married and the Registry Office had a date free in two months time so we had a short amount of time in which to plan and make everything happen," the couple explained. "We already had many things that we wanted to have at our wedding, incorporating lots of themes that we love. Many of these themes were not obviously related and not directly relevant to a wedding but we were more interested in these than having a traditional wedding. It all came together perfectly in the end. The less we worried about what we ‘should’ be doing, the more time we had to be creative and make our ideas possible in the time we had."

“We had two requirements for our wedding day: that it be in our favourite season of autumn and that it be just the two of us,” explained newlyweds Kevin & Shawna. “We’re both a little uncomfortable with a ton of people showering us with attention, and we knew we would not be happy with a traditional wedding. It was important that we be able to focus on us and only us...to have that intimacy. Our families were not initially thrilled, and we considered many possibilities of changing our plans because honestly, we were feeling guilty of depriving them of witnessing our wedding day. Yet every time we thought about planning a traditional ceremony and a reception, we quickly lost sight of what we were doing and why. It became more about making everyone else happy, and we were becoming more and more miserable and stressed out, and that’s NOT how we wanted to start our lives as husband and wife. So, we stuck to our guns and did what we wanted! We’re also so freakin’ Rock n Roll that we shot down an after-honeymoon reception idea. We admit we’re being selfish, but we have a lot of stuff going on in our lives, and we want to focus on us and building a solid foundation to our marriage. In lieu of a reception, we’re thinking of throwing a one year anniversary party because what better way to celebrate a marriage than by actually getting through that first year together!?”

Sean & Carrie's Brisbane wedding has really brightened up this cold November afternoon for me (and it's my second aussie wedding of the day - I really must be feeling the cold!) Åsa & Daniel's Barcelona photo shoot was all about the details, "because to me it's the little details that make the huge difference and I wanted to show them those little details" Spanish photographer Inés explained. The original theme and idea for this shoot came from Inés herself to show couples that capturing the personal details and portraits beautifully is what's super important in wedding photography - even if that means dressing up again for a post-wedding shoot - the perfect excuse if you ask me!

The couple were married at Bow Registry Office and had their reception The Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green, London.

"Knowing that Kelly had never been out of the country (USA), I bought us 2 tickets to London for the end of September 2010 as a Christmas present," groom Nicholas explained. "Within a month we knew we were meant to be, so my plan became to propose to her in London or Paris. However, that soon changed when we decide that we should just elope to Europe and get married there by ourselves. So, I proposed a month later, we booked a photographer and a church in Paris and threw caution to the wind and made our Little European vacation a wedding and a honeymoon. And everything was perfect. And our minister's name was Charlie Brown, which is pretty Rock n Roll."

I utterly adore Ruth & Oliver's beautiful orchard wedding! In fact as soon as photographer Abbye told me about the details I knew I'd be loving it. "When I first met up with Ruth to talk about her wedding she brought along a huge glass jam jar. After talking over details Ruth pulled out the jar and told me "I know this might sound strange, but I just want to have jam jars everywhere..." to others it might have sounded strange, but I totally got what she was going for."
