January 5, 2014

Becca and Chris were married at Larmer Tree Gardens on the Dorset/ Wiltshire border. They wanted their day to be small and stress-free so they only had nine guests. "We didn't have a theme for our wedding, we just picked things we loved, without thinking too carefully about whether they would match," began the bride. "That's why I wore an art deco dress, the car was from the 1950s and our entertainment was a Mariachi band mash-up! The main thing was that we wanted our love of travel to come across, so we had a lot of map bunting, colour, and a global influence to our food and music."

High School Prom Wedding: Elizabeth & Juan

2 and 3

January 3, 2014

Elizabeth and Juan wanted their December wedding to be just like a High School Prom. "Our wedding theme helped everyone get in to the Prom spirit, attendees dressed in prom attire, and we went absolutely crazy with balloons", began the bride. "Our wedding party was such a mixed, motley crowd. We wanted everyone to have fun and use their own style for their outfits. We wanted to run screaming from the traditional thing and my's dream came true with my perfect pink dress. Our officiant even wore a purple prom dress!"

Epic Las Vegas Elopement: Ainsley & Sebastien

Janneke Storm

January 2, 2014

When I featured Ainsley and Sebestien's engagement shoot in September I dubbed it "the coolest engagement shoot to date". I was pretty sure that their wedding would be suitably kick ass too but nothing (and I mean nothing!) could have prepared me for this. While I was hanging out with their wedding photographer Janneke Storm in Queensland, she started to tell me more about their upcoming elopement in Las Vegas. I made her promise then and there to send me the photos to blog afterwards. Luckily for me (and you!) she did.

Congratulations you're engaged! If you're new around these parts I'd like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR and a big fat hello. I am so excited to meet you. This is going to be one of the most awesome / stressful / exciting / fulfilling / hair-tearing (delete as appropriate) rides of your life and I for one can't wait for you to get started. I loved planning my wedding so much that I made it into my career. Gareth & I were married in April 2008. I started this blog to document the journey and I haven't stopped since. That's me at the top by the way, doing what I do best, lying around in glitter and confetti!

December 27, 2013

The majority of the women we meet and teach at The Blogcademy are just starting their blogs or businesses and most of them simultaneously hold down a full or part time job. Most of them tell us that their ultimate goal is to quit these jobs so they can focus on working for themselves. While we encourage them to do that when they’re ready, we’re also keen to share with them the huge benefits of working a day job while pursuing their dreams.

Brad & Jen

December 27, 2013

Savannah & Eliot's super cool, Nashville wedding was held at The Crying Wolf bar. They were married outside in the car park, which ended up being a surprisingly beautiful setting, and the reception was inside. With the venue already being so awesome and decorated in such a quirky way, the couple didn't need to add too much, but they included a few things they love like animal skulls and various pieces distressed wood from the bride's mother's farm. Savannah also designed and made all the stationery, the flowers were bought from a flower market and the cakes were made by friends. The venue did the food and drinks and they had a friend DJ the party.

December 23, 2013

If your main goal for your wedding is to have a wild party and dance until the sun comes up then I have the most amazing inspiration for you today! Eleonora and Cristóbal had their wedding at the bride's parent's home in Chile. They planned and made everything themselves including all the décor, the stationery and the flowers (which were picked from the roadside!) Both the bride and groom wore outfits from Zara.
