All You Need Is Love Themed New Zealand Wedding: Courtney & Nick

Kat

Anne Paar

July 9, 2014

Courtney and Nick wanted a day that didn't break the bank. They managed to keep the costs down by shopping in charity shops, accepting help from family and friends and DIYing a lot! They put the flowers together themselves, had a playlist instead of a band or DJ and made their own stationery. Both of their outfits were "lucky finds on the internet". The designers didn't matter to them, only that they liked what they wore. The bridesmaids had dresses from eBay.

Thursday Treats: Lucky

July 3, 2014

This week I did my first solo livestream, was interviewed by BBC online for a feature on blogging and chatted to Anne Diamond on BBC Radio Berkshire! Phew! Other than that I've really just been gearing up to hit the road with The Blogcademy again this month. Our first stop off is London (yay!) for two workshops and our mixer event before we head over to Europe to do workshops in Berlin and Amsterdam. I hope you have a glorious one.

June 30, 2014

Ben and Roo wanted their big day to feel like 'them'. So they enlisted the help of friends and family to hand craft the wedding of their dreams! "Our theme was 'nature meets colorful meets elegant meets comfortable!" began the bride. "I was a circus performer for ten years and Ben has been a rigger for his whole professional life. Our friends are eclectic and multi-skilled and they all pitched in. It made a blank slate of a venue become a colorful tapestry of strings of circus lights, people on stilts, colorful guests, chandeliers hanging from trees and an amazing electro-swing dance party!"

Outdoor Jewish Wedding in Austin: Danny & Maya

June 28, 2014

Danny and Maya were married at Cedar Bend Events, just 25 minutes outside of Austin. They chose their venue because they wanted an outdoor wedding and this place was beautiful! "We both really wanted the wedding to be outdoors and to embody the relaxing feel of a backyard barbecue", wrote the groom. "Our original plan was actually to have a family barbecue style event and handle all of the food/catering as a family, but that proved too difficult logistically, so we opted for a wedding venue that could provide the same relaxed feeling."
