September 10, 2015

I hope you've all had a fabulous week. Have you managed to nab yourself a copy of Rock n Roll Bride magazine yet? It's been SO EXCITING seeing all your posts on Instagram, it makes me so incredibly happy, I can't even tell you. As you read this I'll be boarding my flight to San Francisco where I'm heading for the penultimate Blogcademy worksho this weekend. I'm then off to New York for the last ever class (sob!) but not before stopping off in Orlando for a celebratory blow out at Disneyworld! I've never been and I'm super, duper excited. Has anyone got any tips for me? I've heard it's as big as some American cities and my brain just can't comprehend that scale!

Old School Glamour Meets Festival Wedding

Kat

Katie Farrell

September 8, 2015

Tams & Richie were married in County Wicklow, Ireland, in March. Their day was both glamorous and laid back, with a fun-filled festival theme. "We had been bashing our heads against a wall trying to think of a 'theme' for ages, and we landed with Old Hollywood Glamour", began Tams. "I was doing all of the invitations, props, design, look and feel myself, and I began to get really uncomfortable with the whole Hollywood theme and when people started referencing The Great Gatsby, it really didn't settle well. It’s a beautiful, stylised theme and I envy anyone who can pull it off, but it just wasn't us."

I am extremely proud that Rock n Roll Bride shows such diversity.

September 5, 2015

Kat and Matt wanted anything but a traditional wedding. They started the day by having their ceremony at Old Wardour Castle in Salisbury. "The inspiration for the wedding was everything we enjoy: computer games, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, swords, horses, cats, dragons and castles!", said the bride. "We love looking around castles and historical sites, so finding a ruined castle licensed for weddings was amazingly perfect!"

Rock Concert Wedding in Pittsburgh

Steven Dray

September 4, 2015

Nicole and Steve were married at Stage AE, a concert venue in downtown Pittsburgh. Getting married at a venue as iconic as this obviously had a huge influence on the theme of the wedding! "Music has always been a big part of our relationship", said the bride. "We wanted our family and friends to share in that important aspect of our life together, which is why we chose Stage AE. We faced many objections and difficulties with such an unconventional wedding venue, but we knew what we wanted and were determined to make it happen."

The week has been all about the two M's... magazines and models! We took delivery of 1000 copies of the magazine and Gareth has been packing and preparing them for shipping out to those that pre-ordered early next week! While our living room might resemble a warehouse right now (boxes, magazines and pink envelopes as far as the eye can see!) I am still soooo excited about it! The mag officially goes on sale NEXT THURSDAY (3rd) so if you'd prefer to pop down to your local WHSmiths to pick up your copy you can do so then!
