As the founder of a wedding show, it can be hard to reconcile my career of choice with my feminist beliefs. I can sometimes feel myself explaining what I do with an element of guilt, almost apologising for my role in sending more sisters off to the patriarchal shackles. But The Most Curious Wedding Fair takes the idea of a wedding day and offers it up to couples to own it, and this allows me to rest easy in our quest for equality. Boudoir shoots are nothing new. Hell, I had one when I was engaged in 2007 (and no I'm not going to show you them!) While lots of brides might consider doing them, I'd have to hasten a guess that a lot of you reading this might have dismissed the idea as something silly, vein and super embarrassing. While in 2007 the main marketing push for boudoir photos was an "a gift for your man" (vom) ten years later and I'd still like to encourage you to consider doing one, but as a gift for YOURSELF.
