Originally from Bangkok, Thailand Karn & Poey both moved to Brisbane, Australia to study. They followed each other over and during one of their travels to Melbourne, Karn popped the question. This hip and quirky engagement shoot is such a perfect depiction of them as a couple. I love it!
“We met them at a local indie market where we had an instant photo booth stall and they decided they’d love to celebrate their engagement with photos” photographers Seth & Tenielle of Feather and Stone Photography told me. “All the styling was completely their own, their own personal style shone through completely. They are two of the sweetest people we’ve worked with!! We LOVE when couples individual styles really come through the photos.”
The session was shot 100% on film as opposed to a digital. “We moved back to shooting film 6 months ago and this was one of our 1st all film sessions”, Tenielle continued. “We’re loving it, there’s such an organic, raw softness feel to film. We’ve stuck to it since.”
Thank you to Karn & Poey and Seth & Tenielle for sharing these today.

I'm pretty sure there is no couple in the world that could possibly come close to being as awesome as Ainsley and Sebastien. This is one of those engagement shoots that as soon as I saw it I was dying to see the wedding already, wondering what they could possibly do to top these photos.

Confession time: I've never seen Game of Thrones. I know, I know, my geek credentials should be thrown out of the window and I should hang my head in shame... But needless to say I know a good thing when I see it, and Karlee & Justin's engagement shoot certainly fits that bill.
Vancouver Island in British Columbia was the perfect spot for this DIY shoot - oh yes, I said DIY - the pair made their outfits themselves from scratch!

When David & Ruth started to think about the kind of theme they'd like for their engagement session and up coming wedding they realised that they wanted to do something that celebrated their life together and their upcoming marriage. "We soon realised that like our life together and we pretty much wanted it all to reflect us - vintage, geekchic, retro, scifi, lowfi, folk, rock, disco, soul, town and country - with extra sprinkles please."

Sarah & Jeremy's cute engagement session made me swoon with it's classic, retro (slightly) geeky and quirky nature. The record store location provided the perfect backdrop for the pair who love music and all things funky and cool.

I have so much love for Gretchen & Darby's cute, retro, geek chic engagement sesh. Not only did the chalkboard/hearts location slay me, but their fashion choices are just so perfect...and they match each other in an oh-so-cute and not at all puke-worthy way. The super bright checked set, the crazy 70's jumpers set and the lilac-y matching dress and tie set. Oh so adorable! I love love love them.

Enviable Vintage-Cool

A cute couple, both us glasses and fabulous fashion with that enviable vintage-cool vibe (the green dress was Amanda's grandmother's) rocking it with records and just generally hanging out...I just ...yeah, you know I love it.
Amanda & David hopped around different locations throughout the East Side of Milwaukee for their engagement shoot. All of the places they visited had significance to their first date, the first stop being a record store. On their first date, David bought a record "for himself," which a few months later he gave to Amanda as a gift. She holds it in one of the photos. They also stopped at Comet Cafe, which was where they had lunch together for the first time. They even brought their own favourite coffee cups for the shoot.
