I don’t have much information on Nick & Nikki’s sweet Philadelphia wedding, but I felt the gorgeous images by Love Me Do Photography spoke a thousand words.
“They beautifully lit the space with purples, blues, and yellows, creating a vibrant and fun atmosphere,” wrote photographer Carina & Amanda. “Details of their wedding reception included Star Wars figurines in the terrariums and cat bride and groom on top of the wedding cake.”
“Nick and Nikki even had their own logo – a cute design of their faces that was projected onto the dance floor. Despite a little rain, Nick and Nikki had a beautiful and fun wedding day and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it.”
Thanks to Nick & Nikki and Carina & Amanda for sharing these today.

Happy Monday you lovely little critters - have I got a wedding to start this week off with a bang or what!?
Unusually I was actually submitted this wedding by the groom and via twitter because his gorgeous bride, Holly, was nervous about doing so. Er, girl, are you KIDDING me?! I'm dying over your wedding. The comic book, superhero and geek chic radness is just too good. This is one of those weddings that I genuinely wish I'd been invited to!

Wes Anderson Inspired Brewery Wedding: Jessica & David

The submission I received for Jessica and David's wedding began "If Wes Anderson was a wedding planner..." so instantly my interest was sparked. The Philadelphia wedding was a quirky Southern BBQ with retro touches. "I never knew what to say when people asked what the theme was", explained the bride. "I'd reply with 'It's a wedding... isn't that the theme?' I guess it was more about the color and the mood we wanted to create. I love retro fashion and I also love all those farm/ garden weddings all over wedding blogs. I also had our budget in mind and keeping in the budget helped make a lot of decisions about said theme... so maybe we can call it a budget retro summer garden party!"

Facebook loves these guys. How do I know? Well because I sneak peeked a photo of them (with the focus on Jane's epic Terry Fox wedding dress) and people went crazy for it. Cue the most 'liked' wedding photograph on my facebook page ever. 430 (and counting) likes to be precisie. Mind. Blown.
So needless to say, I'm assuming there's a lot of Rock n Roll Bride's out there eagerly awaiting seeing the rest of this wedding... and just when you thought it couldn't get any better I have 3 words for you.
Star. Wars. Theme.
And yes.. they we're married on May 4th. Contained yourself? Then I'll begin...

A Homemade Star Wars & Lego Wedding for Geeks: Jennie & Jon

December 10, 2012
With just £5000 to spend, Jennie & Jon we're able to pull of their homemade and geeky wedding with a little bit of imagination and a lot of elbow grease! The ceremony took place at Emmanuel's Church in Sidlow and the reception was hosted at the bride's mother's house.
"We knew that when we decided to get married we would have to do it our own way and make it very individual", explained the bride. "We are both complete geeks and children at heart with a love for Star Wars and Lego, so how could it not be fun? We definitely didn't want a wedding that could have been anybody else's. All our friends live so far away and we only get together once or twice a year so we also wanted it to be very relaxed that we could just spend time with each other. We wanted to do as much as we could ourselves and scoured eBay and car boot sales for cheaper items."

Tree House and Picnic Party Wedding: Kirsty & James

They met online and with a mutual love of all things nerdy (their first date was eating cheese toasties and watching Dark Crystal) they connected instantly. They were married in August at Sole Street House in Kent. "Our theme evolved into a relaxed, geeky garden party", wrote Kirsty. "Vintage touches and having the full day to relax into the venue meant that it felt very natural and laid-back. We picked a colour theme of teal and asked all of our guests to wear something to match. As time went on, it became green and blue in all of the shades but it meant that we could relax about a 'theme' and still have everything come together."

Sarah and Adam's wedding was a true reflection of them. They love anime and Star Wars, so that was their starting point! The day was held at Priston Mill, Bath, in December. They wanted their day to be quirky (like them!) but also fun for their guests. They had retro games set up on the balcony of the barn and devised various drinking games, matching their theme, for their guests!

Attention Whovians! You are going to LOVE what I have to share with you today. We've all seen Doctor Who themed weddings before, but I'm going to put my stake in the ground and say I think this is the best one ever. Not only did Leila and Scott only spend $5000 on their wedding, the attention to detail is totally amazing. Check out that blue wedding cake!
