This awesome punk inspired wedding was actually a faux-wedding – a photo shoot set up by stylist MMD Events , blogger Lauren of Every Last Detail and photographer’s Jeff & Anna Katherine of K&K Photography . They wanted to showcase some awesome alternative wedding styling and they certainly achieved that. I am totally smitten and almost a little upset that it isn’t a real wedding – this looks like the kind of party I want to go to!
“We put together this Punk inspiration shoot with the focus all around the *actual* definition of the word “punk”, courtesy of Every Last Detail’s Wedding Style Dictionary ,” explained Lauren. “Pulling inspiration from the Dia de los Muertos (day of the dead), punk rock (of course), a little southern California “border-town-cool”, and rockabilly, we wanted the shoot to evoke what the actual “punk” lifestyle is. Our goal was to let brides know that punk can be pretty- not the cliche dark gothic look. We created a “punk” look that was pretty, colorful, and fun, just like the punk lifestyle is!”
The shoot took place at Tampa Armature Works Building in Florida and pretty much all the clothes were either thrifted or found very cheaply. This just goes to show that with a bit of imagination and creativity you CAN have a really Rock n Roll wedding without breaking the bank. I love this A LOT!
Be sure to also check out the FAB video after the ‘jump.’ Gotta love the Elvis dude!

Anna and Johannes
December 18, 2017
At first glance, this is a gorgeous wedding full of all the details that Rock n Roll Bride readers go nuts for. But this is actually a styled shoot! And it has a beautiful story behind it...
Vanessa ('Vanny') and Martin are very close friends of photographers Anna and Johannes. When they were all children, Anna's little sister brought her friend Vanny home from school. Vanny's father had died of cancer and her mum had a new boyfriend and so was almost never home. Vanny was mostly living off pizza and soft drinks, said Anna. "Since my family is very sociable (and crazy), we kind of adopted Vanny and so she spent a lot of time with us during those years, and we went through a lot together. Johannes and I had a styled shoot planned, and we asked Vanny and her boyfriend Martin to be the models. What they didn't tell us was that not only they were freshly engaged, but they were also expecting a baby! Our shoot then turned out to be half styled and half real wedding, with me doing a speech in church, everybody crying, and our friends playing the parts of the bridal party!"

As a girl who's more than slightly obsessed with weddings and photography, there's pretty much nothing more thrilling to me than discovering new (to me) wedding photographer that is INCREDIBLE. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does I feel like I've won the wedding-blogging-lottery. And don't even get me started on what happens when I discover a videographer with as much talent as this. Actual tears people, there were actual tears.

Two rockabilly babes, tattoos and seriously cute wedding dresses - what's not to love about this adorable set of images, shot in and around The Custard Factory in Birmingham? "This shoot came about from my vastly growing obsession with polka dots, in all their multicoloured forms", wrote button bouquet creator Emma, who masterminded the whole thing. "Actually, not just mine, but also many of my brides who often want a bit of dottiness in their bouquets! I wanted to create a look that would appeal to and inspire my clients so I set about this little collaboration with some wonderfully talented wedding peeps."

A Trailer Trash Bridal Shoot with a Vintage Airstream
Kat
August 25, 2012
"Ever since I spent time travelling from Nashville to San Francisco last Autumn, I've benn obsessed with wanting to recreate vintage Americana!" wrote stylist Lynsey Le Keux. "This summer I had the pleasure of making it happen. I got together with some serious wedding industry talent including Sassy of Assassynation and Jo of The Couture Company. Our theme was 'trailer trash chic' which basically meant coney neck beers, dust-caked American cars, sweat smudged make up and broad blue skies. The aim was to portray unique bridal beauty against a backdrop of pure gritty trash... We wanted to inspire bridal styling outside of tradition and show our customers that they don't have to follow convention to rock a wedding - bridal beauty is subjective and one thing all the collaborators agreed on was how much we loved customers who did things their way."
