When photographer Nick Tucker sent me just one shot from this amazing shoot, I demanded straight away to see the rest. I had a sneaking suspicion that they would be awesome…and when it comes to things like this it would appear that I’m always right!
The shoot was set up by Nick and Luella’s Boudoir (fabulous vintage wedding boutique in Wimbledon, London) to showcase the dresses of one of the shop’s favourite and most unique designers,Lisa Redman . I actually fell in love with a Lisa Redman dress myself when I saw some of her creations on the catwalk at Luella’s Boudoir bridal event earlier this year (remember this gorgeous sparkly dress ?) so I literally jumped at the chance to share these with you.

This stunning vintage shoot was put together by Vicky Rowe ( Styling) of Vintage Teasets, Bella & Fifi and Floriture (flowers), Clifton Cakes and photographer Rosie Parsons. They set up and shot at both Combe House Hotel and Mamhead House near Exeter, Devon.
The fashion looks authentic and wonderfully unique. Well done to everyone involved!

Lucy makes gorgeously creative vintage-inspired stationary (I've also been lucky enough to feature her before as well as meet her in actual real life!) After Lucy saw Emma's work on Rock n Roll Bride she got in touch asking if they could get together to do a promotional shoot for her vintage stationary company. Hello!? When wedding photographer Emily Johnson ran a trash the dress competition on Rock n Roll Bride, she hoped she might find some cool babes to shoot. And, oh boy, did she! One of the first winners was Ruth Power, a musician from New Zealand. Ruth wanted a shoot that reflected her love of music, showcased her personal style and took place in and around Brick Lane, London, which she now calls home.

So part one was spooky, part two was cute and part three is just...well...a whole other level! Could an abandoned fairground in Belgium possibly be the coolest photo shoot location ever?
"The day after our tea party reception we went on a adventure to an abandoned fairground that I used to visit as a child when it was still open," Regula told me. "I suddenly thought about it a few months ago and wondered what had become of it. I have some vivid childhood memories of it. Bruno and I wanted to go there as we love the creepy and romantic forgotten world feeling about it. We have a thing for the strangeness of old fairgrounds and fairs, hence the rock candy and candy apples at our reception. When I told our photographer Sassy of it she was so excited we decided to make a trip together."

We don't get to see a whole lot of alternative Asian wedding inspiration, so I was thrilled when I received this bridal shoot with an edge from School of Rock graduate Rabbia Ali Shah from the Asian Wedding Ideas blog.
"Seeing the same Asian bridal images can start to get a little repetitive", wrote Rabbia, "and the idea of something a little edgier is one that I had been thinking about for a while. Getting people on board wasn't the easiest of task but getting in touch with wedding photographer Priti Shikotra, changed all that. She had similar thoughts about a shoot."

A photo shoot featuring the Rock n Roll Bride planning notebooks!? Oh yes that's one sure-fired way to get my attention!
"We styled the whole shoot ourselves using items from eBay (and of course the Rock n Roll Bride notebook," photographer Jaye of Tux & Tales Photography told me. "We decided we would do a few styled shoots ourselves on a shoestring budget. I think it is a great way to show brides that they can have a fun and fab style with a little pocket change and a lot of elbow grease. I hope you enjoy my ultra-rad millinery. Picture me sitting on the living room floor, feathers flying everywhere whilst my cat tries to run off with the hat in his mouth every time I turn around to get another feather. The bouquet I made myself out of crepe paper. Boo (our model) is a burlesque performer so she did her own hair & make up!"

"I was really inspired reading the winning entry to your Knot Couture dress competition recently," photographer Bethan of Haywood Jones Photography told me. "It was hard to picture how it would feel to be made so uncomfortable in a shop who were clearly disapproving of you, thinking we live in a properly modern society (!) until it happened to me last weekend (not because I have beautiful body art sadly, but much more because I was dressed a bit scruffily and went into a very posh art shop. They actually got another member of security to stand in the shop while me and my friend walked around!!) It suddenly became clear that you really can't judge a book by its cover and that even though the *mainstream* wedding industry is becoming more accepting of the *alternative* side of peoples wedding creativity and gorgeousness, there are still many blinkered people out there who wont look past stereotypes and make you feel less than worthy of their attention."
