After the Circus Freak post and Suzanne’s stunning red dress, I wanted to check out Skin Graft Designs , the magic behind the dress in some more detail. So, after Christinamessaged me to say the link was broken, (thanks hun!) I re-found the site and oh what a lot of fantastic wedding dress joy I was to behold…

October 2, 2012
So we're in to October already so you know what that means... Halloween! And for Oddd & Elle, despite being married in August, their favourite holiday was the obvious choice of theme for their epic wedding.
"Anyone who knows us knew that our wedding was going to be a little different, as we've always done things our own way", began the groom. "After a chance meeting when we were both invited last minute to a day out, we have been inseparable, We got engaged on our first Christmas day in our first home and we set our wedding date for our 9 year anniversary on Friday 17th August 2012."

Morris Dancing Wedding: Bev & Ed

What could be more 'quirky-Brit' than Morris Dancing? For my foreign friends, Morris Dancing is a traditional form of English folk dance dating back to the 15th Century. Dancers adorn their bodies with bells and whistles whilst wielding handkerchiefs, sticks and even swords... It's certainly a niche form of fun, but one that that initially brought Bev & Ed together.

Skull Themed Wedding on Halloween

Erin and Beau's October 31st wedding had a very obvious theme - skulls! "The theme for the wedding definitely had to incorporate skulls", said the bride. "I absolutely love all things skeleton, as does Beau. We were inspired by the cameo male and female skull tattoos that I have. We are also lovers of the colours black and red so it all just fell in to place really."

Night of the Living Wed

This ghoulish, retro horror themed wedding may not be everybodys cup of tea but I can't help but be a little over-excited about it. So. Much. Originality! Photographer Al, who has just been shortlisted for 'Tattoo Photographer of the Year' was keen to tell me all about Ash and Michelle Ghoulmore's (oh yes!) friday the 13th wedding.
The couple run retro rebels store and the horror-themed clothing company Kreepsville 666 so their wedding was always going to be a spooky special. 'Ghoulmore' actually is Ash's surname and they pretty much live Halloween everyday, so it was fitting to pick a horror / b-movie inspired Wedding theme.
"This meant I had to light the formals in a slightly different way to ensure I got that punchy highly saturated contrasty feel that fits with the mood" photographer Al told me. "This was the first time I've seen a smoke machine used during the ceremony! The archway was decorated with skulls and light like a stage. As you can see form the photos the cake was a skull and all the attendees got to take home a set of cast-silver effect fangs to say 'fangs for coming' [groan]. Zombina and the Skeletones provided the live music for the reception, again fitting the horror-rockabilly theme."
