Its hard for me to pick only a few images from Dixie Pixel’s website..even just limiting myself to one wedding proved too difficult for words. I kept scrolling down the page and seeing more more more I love love love…and this is possibly the most photographs I’ve posted in one blog post! I usually try to limit myself to 5 or 6 images per post but sorry not today…
The photographer behind all this porn is Tara Kneiser. She emailed me to tell me how much she loved my blog (woot woot) and also to give me some extra info about her photographs. The last 3 (grainy) of these photos (flipping gorgeous!) was actually shot on film (big it up – so was our wedding). I love the grainy rawness of it all. They were taken with a Holga Camera, which retails for about $30.00 – how awesome is that!?
So in conclusion…Tara, Rock and Roll Bride salutes you – bloody marvelous! Now can we see some photographs of your own tattooed wedding now..pretty pleeeeese?
All photo credit goes to Tara Kneiser
Now please excuse me while I go back here and check out every single photograph!

A Bohemian Mexican-American Wedding: Felicia & Ariel

October 8, 2012
Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Felicia & Ariel wanted to plan a wedding with a nod to their heritage as well as the place they grew up. The wedding was held at The Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems, a non-profit education and research organisation, owned by the groom's parents. "As born and raised Austinites and the children of hippies, we knew from the get-go that we didn't want to have the 'usual' wedding," began Felicia. "Ariel and I both love being in nature and so it seemed like a easy choice to have the wedding at the site of his family's home and non-profit organization. We wanted the wedding to have a lot of color and reflect our passions and cultures. I'm Mexican-American and loved the idea of embroidered Mexican dresses for my bridesmaids, delicate papel picado banners, and bright paper flowers."

He proposed on the banks of the The Angelina River and they were married in Austin four days later. The bride knew nothing about what was going to happen on the day. With the help of wedding photographer Katherine O'Brien, Steve planned the entire wedding himself, his bride just had to show up!

You might mistakenly think that Jessie & Mark's wedding is a little on the pretty and elegant side for me, but you'd be wrong. On the odd occasion (in between all the tattooed chicks and badassery) I do like to swoon over a genuinely beautiful wedding like this one.
The outdoor ceremony wedding and rustic barn reception were held at Fischer Hall, Texas. The bride wore a Priscilla of Boston gown which she found on preownedweddingdresses.com and real flowers in her hair.
