I’ve got yet another bit of retro rockabilly lovin’ for you today, in the form of Nick & Jamie’s Santa Barbara wedding. The ceremony and reception took place at The Rockwood Womens Club which proved to be the perfect backdrop to their day. Jamie looked stunning in her Maya dress by Michelle Roth , but it had a bit of a story behind it! “”Ohhhhh the dress….it was almost a nightmare! It was a Michelle Roth “Maya” that I bought used on Oncewed . I took it to a local alterations lady who cut it too short and messed up the top! Luckily I have a dear friend in the fashion industry, Denice Dir who saved the day by not only adding the black tulle underneath, sewing in a petticoat and took 45 minutes to carefully seam rip the top and fix what the other lady had messed up. She even made my dog’s collar piece out of my dress trimmings and surprised me on the day of my wedding with the special stitching she did inside!”
Jamie designed her own invitations and had them screen printed by Itty Bitty Press with the calligraphy being done by DancingPen on Etsy .

There were two things that really captured my attention when I first saw Shaun and Rikki's wedding photos - her amazing pink hair and those incredible custom wedding shoes. They came from Kukla Fashion Designs on Etsy and I just knew instantly that you'd love them just as much as I do.

Patrick and Hazel love the 1950s and rockabilly style so they wanted to bring this into their day. When watching Grease one day, the bride also decided she needed a carousel at the wedding! Luckily they found Blists Hill Victorian Town at the Ironbridge Gorge Museum in Shropshire which came complete with a fun fair!

Kirsty met Oz when she went to work in his tattoo studio. "We're both tattoo artists and after several months of working together it became apparent that we were meant to be together", she told me. "Two years in, Oz popped the question. We spoke about our big day regularly, and we saved and saved like mad. After 12 months we decided to bite the bullet and book a date and venue. We continued to save and had some generous donations from loved ones to help us on our way."

Offbeat Bride

Ron & Tessa got married at The Uptown Theater in Kansas City and I am crazy about their gorgeous offbeat wedding! The room they tied the knot in was called The Cabaret Room which dates back to the 1920's but is now used to host rock concerts. This pretty much perfectly reflected their vintage, rock n roll day!
Tessa found a taffeta-free alternative vintage style dress by Allure Bridal and Ron wore a bowler hat and spectator shoes along with a vest and pocket watch, all of which added to their theme. The couple decided an over floral wedding was not for them and instead chose to incorporate feathers wherever they could. Although Tessa chose to take a walk down their beaten aisle carrying a traditional bouquet and Ron wore a boutonniere, they completely skipped the floral centrepieces, opting instead for a vast array of gorgeous ostrich plumes in teal and black to match their colour scheme. Tessa also wore a gorgeous feather hairpiece which she bought from Etsy seller YJdesign, and finally one of my favourite touches, the feather theme was rounded off by the cute bird cake topper made by Etsy seller cornflakegirl.
Thanks to Tessa & Ron for sharing their gorgeous day with us!
