Rock n Roll Bride Live, 2024!

WOW, what a day! The third annual Rock n Roll Bride Live took place at Hackney Town Hall earlier this month, and it was our biggest and best yet.

At midday on October 6th, the doors of Hackney Town Hall were flung open to the longest line of people we’ve ever seen! An excited flow of nearlyweds rushed in and packed the place to capacity. The magazines we’d brought were gone in a flash, the goodie bags devoured, and the queues for the welcome drinks and temporary tattoo stand were out the door!

This video gives just the tiniest sneak of just how epic the day was. What a rush! I’m also very pleased to find out I didn’t sound quite as nervous as I felt while doing my welcome talk.

Over 400 people came together to celebrate their love, their passions, and being unashamedly themselves. From the attendees to the exhibitors and our team, everyone was full of energy and enthusiasm to spend a day finding the best ideas and inspiration for their alternative weddings. For many of our attendees, this was the first wedding event they’d been to where they felt welcomed, understood, and seen. The positive energy in the room was palpable. We had people traveling in from all over the country – and even some from Ireland, The Netherlands and Dubai!

There were tarot readings, a band and DJ performing, and models in beautiful corseted dresses dancing around the rooms. The workshop room was alive with activity, with people making the most amazing things—painted candles, sequinned nipple pasties, and hair accessories. We wrote wedding vows together, and we even ended the day with a burlesque class! And all while this was happening, we also shot our next magazine cover!

Thank you so much to every single exhibitor, attendee, and all the members of my team for making this the best Rock n Roll Bride Live we’ve EVER DONE. Just how are we going to top this next year!?

Special thanks to all our exhibitors and goodie bag sponsors. We love you!
