I am really starting to fall head over heels in love with Matt Johnson Photography …and I’m not afraid to admit it! His images are subtle, unobtrusive and captures beautiful weddings with all the justice they deserve.
Elodie & Greg’s wedding was one I fell in love with as soon as I saw the first frame. Her amazing vintage-inspired outfit, jewellery and so-now white lace gloves make me smile with glee and his rad groom style puts every other groom to shame! The no-jacket/waistcoat look is totally Rock n Roll and looks way-too-cool when matched with his boys in braces. The details of this wedding are to die for – from the birdcages, the white heart motif, the retro ‘admissions’ sign, the outdoor chandelier. Awesome.
Thanks to Matt for sharing this wedding with me. I can not wait to feature more of his work asap!

I joked on Facebook recently that the way to get blogged on Rock n Roll Bride is clearly to have a cat theme to your wedding, because this is the forth one I've featured in so many weeks (the others are here, here and here)! I stand by my convictions though, cat weddings are awesome. End of discussion.

When two band members fall in love and decide to get married, you know it’s going to be a party. Taking inspiration from venues they’ve played at together and their favourite music festival, Mit and Jag set out to create a dreamy, retro and fun multi-day homage to their unique story at the incredible Camp Sunnystones – an architecturally significant 1970s school camp set in the bushland of regional Victoria in Australia.

People often ask me if I ever get bored of blogging about weddings. I can see why because usually once you've been doing something - anything - for as long as I have been doing this, it's natural to think that you might start to become a little 'over' it. So while I'm not going to pretend that I'm always thrilled, overjoyed and amazed by every wedding that graces my inbox, I can safely say that I am probably as far from 'over' this job as I could be... especially when I get sent images like Polly and Jamie's wedding to drool over.

When wedding photographer Matt Miller emailed me to tell me he'd shot the wedding of Winston McCall, lead singer of Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive, and asking if I'd like to feature it, I nearly fell off my chair. "Er... stupid question!" I replied, "OF COURSE!" He married his high school sweetheart, Jessica, in beautiful Byron Bay on May 11th this year.

Isn't it funny when two of your worlds collide? I've been stalking following Talia on Instagram for ages (I love love love her cute kawaii style!) and so when I received their wedding photographs from Eric Roland I literally jumped up and down with glee! I knew this wedding was going to be awesome from the few sneaks I'd seen on her feed but I was little prepared for this level of amazement...

Elisa and Ricky were married only a year after meeting in a bar at the end of the Olympic Opening Ceremony (on 27th of July 2012). Although she wasn't interested at first, and after turning down his number a bunch of times, she eventually agreed to go out with him about two weeks later! "After six hours of talking that night, I decided I would give him a go and It’s been a whirl wind romance since. I still can't believe it", she explained.
