As a publication which was founded as the antithesis to the big, white, traditional wedding, we love seeing wedding suppliers also stepping away from the expected when they create their own shoots. A break from matrimonial stereotypes and encouraging you to make your wedding day as personal and meaningful as possible is what it’s all about!
Whether you love to dance, pizza is your favourite food, or you just want to bring a splash of colour into your day; we think you’re going to love this editorial created by wedding planners BLAST Concept, based in Spain and Holland.
“This shoot was about showing that that love and bad-ass combines very well”, they told us. “It’s the love story of a sweet calm ballerina and a tough hip hop dancer. The couple dance their own love story, which is super romantic, but it’s not too sweet.”
“The table is neatly set, but large pizzas are served for dinner. We want to show all bridal couples that whatever they think off is possible and that not everything has to be traditional.”
“For the ceremony we used a double triangle backdrop with LED lighting and disco balls. We also hung a large flower piece and as a detail there were LPs on the wall. We used holographic, black, neon pink and purple on the table with black plates, brightly coloured napkins, holographic cutlery and gin glasses. As an extra detail, we also used cassette tapes as name cards.”
