Tattoo artists Dom and Char flew to Ireland to have their September elopement it Cushendun Cave in Northern Ireland. They didn’t have a theme or anything in terms of props or styling other than their outfits and the bride’s bouquet.
The ceremony was just the two of them, their photographer, videographer and celebrant. “It was amazing, Char said, “the waves were crashing against the rocks whilst we said our vows and we could smell the sea. The whole day was so perfect from beginning to end.”
Char wore an ASOS dress and Levi’s jacket which were both customised by herself and Dom’s suit was by Avail . “We saved money on my dress because I wasn’t interested in a big expensive one. We also got our AirBnB for half price due to a COVID reschedule which was so so kind of them! Our biggest expensive was the photographer, we pretty much decided to go to Ireland purely for him!”
For this couple, the best part of their wedding was that they got married! “️Honestly, the only bad thing was the stress of COVID. We had to reschedule twice and then our flights kept getting changed at the last minute but we wouldn’t have done a single thing differently. It was the best day ever.”

When I featured Ainsley and Sebestien's engagement shoot in September I dubbed it "the coolest engagement shoot to date". I was pretty sure that their wedding would be suitably kick ass too but nothing (and I mean nothing!) could have prepared me for this.
While I was hanging out with their wedding photographer Janneke Storm in Queensland, she started to tell me more about their upcoming elopement in Las Vegas. I made her promise then and there to send me the photos to blog afterwards. Luckily for me (and you!) she did.

We did some whirlwind portraits in their neighbourhood before heading to Vanier Park to help friends set up some chairs and refreshments. Guests arrived, they were married, the mingled and they left. It was great."

As far as simple and breathtaking weddings go, I think this family focused elopement in Big Sur, California wins everything. It was just Ulysses, Cyntia and their two gorgeous children, Pheonix and Galaxy in attendance. Their officiant, Colette Cucchia, was there to marry them overlooking the water and their wedding photographer captured the whole thing beautifully.

This laid back couple met online and spent their first dates huddled on Laura's sofa, watching movies and eating food that she'd cooked. So needless to say when it came to their wedding they wanted to keep it as low key as possible too. "We have always been such an easy couple, lots of love and not much hassle of going overboard with things", Laura explained. "His proposal a year after we met was perfect. We were in the mall and he pulled me into a photo booth and he proposed while the photos were being taken inside. It was perfect!"
