I am a huge accessories fan, massive in fact. Clothes shopping upsets me as I can never find anything I like/doesn’t make me look like a whale/that fits (although Gareth still seems to think I have too many clothes, go figure) But anyway, my point is that when clothing fails me I am always comforted by the knowledge that I can easily go buy a wicked accessories that will brighten up my day (and my outfit)
So…when I clapped eyes on these beauties (I mean the shoes in the first photograph) I knew it’d be a wedding I’d be loving. Check it out!
Ps The girls in the body paint weren’t severely under dressed guests, they were in fact waitresses. The couple also hired aerialists and acrobats to entertain their fulled dressed guests.

I was convinced this wedding was a styled shoot with models. Convinced. These kinds of beautiful people don't exist in real life do they?!
Well, apparently they do, and I've got the photographs to prove it. Stand by for some serious wedding envy my friends - That light! That dress! Those model-esque bridesmaids!

People often ask me if I ever get bored of blogging about weddings. I can see why because usually once you've been doing something - anything - for as long as I have been doing this, it's natural to think that you might start to become a little 'over' it. So while I'm not going to pretend that I'm always thrilled, overjoyed and amazed by every wedding that graces my inbox, I can safely say that I am probably as far from 'over' this job as I could be... especially when I get sent images like Polly and Jamie's wedding to drool over.

Rain on your wedding day is a big worry for a lot of couples, but today I'm here to prove to you that it can actually be pretty amazing! Yes, Helen and James' outdoor festival wedding was a wash-out, but they definitely didn't let it ruin their day. Check out the amazing photographs their photographer Neil Thomas Douglas was able to capture... of course shots like this requires a couple who aren't afraid to get a little wet and muddy, but these guys went all out! They even went out in a boat on the river during the downpour!

When wedding photographer Matt Miller emailed me to tell me he'd shot the wedding of Winston McCall, lead singer of Australian metalcore band Parkway Drive, and asking if I'd like to feature it, I nearly fell off my chair. "Er... stupid question!" I replied, "OF COURSE!" He married his high school sweetheart, Jessica, in beautiful Byron Bay on May 11th this year.

I was rather over-excited when I laid eyes on Helen and Andy's Lake District wedding, shot by the amazing Neil Douglas Photography. I mean what could be more incredible than getting wedding day portraits like these in a setting like that!? Hats off to the photographer of course, but also to the awesome couple for not being afraid to potentially get a little wet or muddy. I'd love to see more brave couples like this please, who's with me?
The wedding was held in Buttermere, with the ceremony in a local church and the reception in a tipi in Buttermere field. The couple didn't have a huge budget and opted to DIY and thrift a lot. Helen wore a dress which she bought off eBay for £100 and customised with her grandmother's vintage fur (a last minute edition due to the weather).

It feels weird to start a real wedding post with a disclaimer of sorts but this is just one of those weddings that I share with a small sense of trepidation. Without wanting to sound like anybody's mother, let's just remember that this is two people's actual wedding day and their way of expressing their love. I am under no disillusion that parts of the wedding may well divide opinion, but as always, let's keep the comments constructive and remember what Rock n Roll Bride is all about...

Isn't it funny when two of your worlds collide?
