Wooo! Part one of Matt & Danielle’s wedding went down a storm and part 2 is just as rad. Eeeek!
Matt’s gifts to his groomsmen were holga cameras with film. we are waiting on a couple more rolls but the next 5 photos were taken by R ay Jones . anyone who has a holga knows that its pretty for daylight exposure but without light it can be a challenge. well ray rigged one of our pocket wizards to the holga for the shots below.

The submission I received for Jessica and David's wedding began "If Wes Anderson was a wedding planner..." so instantly my interest was sparked. The Philadelphia wedding was a quirky Southern BBQ with retro touches. "I never knew what to say when people asked what the theme was", explained the bride. "I'd reply with 'It's a wedding... isn't that the theme?' I guess it was more about the color and the mood we wanted to create. I love retro fashion and I also love all those farm/ garden weddings all over wedding blogs. I also had our budget in mind and keeping in the budget helped make a lot of decisions about said theme... so maybe we can call it a budget retro summer garden party!"

From the bride in a denim jacket with a custom patchwork back and Dr Marten boots, the skinhead groom in a 3-piece tartan suit, and their kids rocking mohawks, it really doesn't get more authentic than this! Oh and Kat found her dress on eBay - in her exact size - for £100!

One of the things that really stood out in your survey responses was that a lot of you wanted more Rock n Roll same sex weddings. Well my dears, you ask and I deliver! I have actually been dying to feature Lindsey & Amanda's wedding for a while now but with wedding season being in full flow I have been a trifle busy! One of the things that bums be out about living in the UK is that we can't get married anywhere we like - of course many couples these days opt for a humanist ceremony at the spot of their choice with the 'legal bit' taking place a few days before or after, but it's not really the same. And when I see ceremonies as gorgeous as Candice & Nathaniel right in the heart of Downtown Santa Ana, I'm even more envious!
The wedding took place on June 3rd. The couple organised everything themselves and did so for less than $5000. The ceremony was held on 2nd Street Promenade, and the reception was at Memphis at the Santora, just round the corner. The couple met online and had their first date in the area, and Nathaniel proposed on New Years Eve at Memphis at the Santora,. Basically it was the obvious location for them to have their wedding too!

Seeing a bride wearing my blog's logo as a necklace (made by Red Bird Makes on Etsy) on her wedding day makes me VERY HAPPY indeed. How cool is that!? Andrea and Franz were married in Germany on New Year's Eve. They're both from Germany and so wanted to get married there, but they live in Australia now so they planned the whole thing from the other side of the world.

Felicia and Joe were hitched at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington DC. The bride wore a Vera Wang gown from her diffusion line at David's Bridal, but she had to compete with that groom of hers who rocked up dressed as his favourite Power Ranger! Who says brides get to have all the fun?
