Follow up posts are always fun, I always think when I see an engagement session ‘ooh I wonder what their wedding will be like?’ So it’s great to find out the answer! Nik & Nicole’s Desperate Housewife session gave me high expectations for their big day, and boy am I not disappointed. I am loving Nicole’s crystal encrusted shoes by Steve Madden (customised with the crystal by Nicole), cuffs and hairpiece from Dalita Moda and her phenomenal fishtail dress (check out the back!) designed by the bride and made by Carole Pitts. The bottom even detached for the dancing in the evening. Also check out that fabulous custom made ‘BRIDE’ necklace, also by Dalita Moda . It’s pretty bad ass right?
The bridesmaids look every bit SATC chic in their daring black dresses, also by designed by Nicole and made by Carole Pitts, and their fishnet tights…and the boys in all black – hummanahummana…
Thanks to Ryan for sharing these and bringing some much needed glamour to the site today
Don’t forget about the free wedding photography contest I’m running with Kat Braman right now. We have had so many great entries but you still have a week to get yours in.

Krista & Uryah had a 1920s style wedding in Snohomish, WA. As a professional seamstress, Krista planned and DIY'd the majority of wedding herself. I have a whole lot of love for this set - her shoes, her back lace umbrella, the cigarette holders - classy and wonderful!
Thanks to Claire for sending me these. Mwah!

1950s Old School Glamour Wedding: David & Kelly

Let's Frolic Together
July 30, 2013
David and Kelly's wedding was held at The Riviera Palm Springs Resort. The day have a classic 1950s retro vibe with monochrome details and elegant and timeless glamour throughout.
"The inspiration for our wedding was classic, retro glamour", explained Kelly. "I love everything that embodies the 1950s: the cars, the clothing, the glamour. Women were so put together in such a classy way. I'm a sucker for the old glamour and how people dressed to a 'T' back in those days. People dressed up when they went out. They took pride in their appearances. Short shorts and flip-flops did not cut it when going out on the town. I'm just very classic and 'old school' when it comes to these types of details. I feel that I represent this ideal everyday (even though I do own a pair of flip flops and do wear them every once in a while!)"

The Shining Inspired Glam Goth Wedding

Mindy & David got married at The Stanley Hotel in Colorado, the hotel that provided the inspiration to Stephen King for The Shining.
"Our first thoughts about what we wanted our wedding to look and sound and feel like were all over the board" the couple told me. "Our first decision was the location. We had stayed at the Historic Stanley Hotel the summer previous, and while we were familiar with much of the folklore of the place, we were delighted to find character that goes far deeper than "haunted joint." We had a wonderful time and felt a connection to the Stanley."

All the Luck of the Irish

You might remember Maggie & Sean from their rockabilly engagements in an Irish pub. Well photographer Karen Lisa just sent me their wedding, which rocks just as hard!
The wedding ceremony was held at a small park across from the couple's apartment in downtown Boca Raton and the reception was at the Spanish River Library outside on the terrace. For wedding favors, Maggie & Sean had custom labels made for their favorite Irish Cider, Magners, and they created a replica of their favorite pub to serve as the bar. At one point the couple even got behind the bar to tend and serve drinks themselves. The guests had a blast! The music was played by a rockabilly band, Slip & the Spin Outs. Aaron's Catering of The Palm Beaches provided a unique menu of 50's diner style food made elegant - mini slider burgers, lobster rolls, grilled cheese sticks in a mini martini glass, and delicious desserts. The cake was designed by a friend of the family and featured the bride and groom enjoying their Magner's Irish Cider - complete with tiny bottles and labels. It was one of the most unique and personal cake toppers I've ever seen!
Thanks to Karen for sharing this fabulous wedding with us today
