I have always been more of a cat person than a dog one, but when I spied this first photograph of the teeny tiny doggies on the amazing yellow chair, I knew I would be posting the wedding that followed. Luckily for me, the wedding that did follow was just as stunning as that first image…and the bright yellow continued..fabulous!

It feels weird to start a real wedding post with a disclaimer of sorts but this is just one of those weddings that I share with a small sense of trepidation. Without wanting to sound like anybody's mother, let's just remember that this is two people's actual wedding day and their way of expressing their love. I am under no disillusion that parts of the wedding may well divide opinion, but as always, let's keep the comments constructive and remember what Rock n Roll Bride is all about...

Unbelievably, Myles and Cait spent just $2000 on their incredibly detailed Maine wedding. Held at PLD Auction Barn in Mechanic Falls, the wedding was thrifty and gorgeous. Cait wore a dress made up of two summer dresses from oasap.com, $8 shoes from Goodwill and borrowed jewellery. Myles' outfit was also thrifted from Goodwill stores.

Colourful Columbus Wedding: Adam & Claire

Adam & Claire were married at Via Vecchia Winery, Columbus - well actually they were married in the alley behind Via Vecchia Winery but they had their reception indoors afterwards!
With a groom a wedding photographer himself, they put real importance on their images and so set up a pre-wedding 'first look' to capture some intimate moments before the ceremony kicked off. For this Claire wore a BHLDN dress designed by Orla Kiely, She changed back into this outfit for the reception but for the ceremony itself she opted to wear her mother's vintage wedding dress. Adam had no idea she was planning to do this or to even get changed at all, so seeing her walking down the aisle in a different dress than he expected must have been a very special moment indeed.

Louisa & Rob’s Music & Car Festival Wedding

October 7, 2010
"We knew our wedding was going to be slightly different but I guess thats what you get when you try to incorporate cars, music and food, emphasising the feasting and dancing with friends and family rather than the actual ceremony" began bride Louisa. "We both have an affinity with old cars, cars that have been around a while and have a tale to tell so we had no problem finding a wedding car - I had the perfect excuse to use my hotrod, a 1928 Model A Ford. Not wanting to leave his cars out of the fun, Rob decided we should include a mini car show where he and our friends could park up their old cars and in some cases, their beds for the night."

Jade + Matthew Take Pictures

Today's feature isn't a wedding, but I think when you see these photos you'll understand why I've made an exception to share them! Jade and Matthew's 10th anniversary party was held at a friend's house. It was a completely DIY event. The couple are wedding photographers, so they even shot it themselves!
