The desert is one of my favourite places. It wasn’t always (dusty, dry, hot..!), but after visiting Nevada four or five times now, I’ve finally succumbed to it’s charms. It’s just so enormous and spectacular! It’s the kind of landscape that you’ll never see anywhere else so is it any surprise then that so many couples opt to drive out there for their wedding shoots?
This wedding inspiration shoot was put together by planner/ stylist Paloma Cruz Eventos . “The idea behind this shoot was a couple eloping in secret”, she explained. “This couple doesn’t follow the rules!”

So this might not be a real wedding, in fact it was a photo shoot done in about 20 minutes before they lost the light, but I think you'll agree it's gorgeous enough to warrant a feature. In fact I may love these shots more than some of my own wedding photos - ha! Prepare to be INSPIRED.

As a girl who's more than slightly obsessed with weddings and photography, there's pretty much nothing more thrilling to me than discovering new (to me) wedding photographer that is INCREDIBLE. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does I feel like I've won the wedding-blogging-lottery. And don't even get me started on what happens when I discover a videographer with as much talent as this. Actual tears people, there were actual tears.

This shoot is certainly going to appeal to all you Whovians out there. Come on then, tell me, who's having Dr Who influences in their wedding? "Ever since I became a fan of Doctor Who I’d wanted to do a styled shoot and combine it with one of my other favourite things in life: weddings, of course!" explained photographer Kat Forsyth. "I’d seen a couple of Who-themed shoots around, but I always felt that none of them got it quite right; they were either really pretty, floral and sparkly, or a little too much like a cheesy costume party. I was sure that by assembling a hand-picked team of Doctor Who geeks (read: experts), we could come up with a shoot that not only captured the quirky and fun aspect of the show, but also the atmosphere."

Harnaam Kaur has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which meant she started growing a beard from aged 11. Battling to remove her hair every day, and bullied at school, she started to self harm and considered suicide. Harnaam is now a body-confidence and anti-bullying activist and she fully embraces her unique look and hopes to encourage others to do the same. So when this bridal shoot using Harnaam as the model was submitted to me I nearly jumped out of my skin with excitement!
