Halloween isn’t as big a deal in the UK as it is in America. I usually go out to dinner or something to avoid the teenagers who come round in tracksuits, demanding sweets in exchange for the promise that they won’t egg your house…but maybe that’s just me. So we're in to October already so you know what that means... Halloween! And for Oddd & Elle, despite being married in August, their favourite holiday was the obvious choice of theme for their epic wedding.
"Anyone who knows us knew that our wedding was going to be a little different, as we've always done things our own way", began the groom. Vintage Victorian Wedding on Halloween

C&G Weddings
August 23, 2016
Scott and Hayley were married on Halloween but they didn't want to make the obvious choice to have a spooky themed wedding. Instead they were inspired by vintage pieces (the bride wore a dress from the 1940s), and Victoriana with a Rock n Roll twist. Of course there were a few autumnal touches such as pumpkins on the tables, but overall it was just a reflection of everything they love.

Tyson and Allie's Florida wedding had a music themed wedding with touches of Halloween, New Orleans and vintage. They didn't want a stuffy and regimented wedding, they wanted a wedding that was a massive celebration of all the things they love. "Halloween is my favorite holiday however I didn't want to make that the main theme", explained the bride. "I wanted to add a touch of elegance. My first inspiration was our favorite place, New Orleans. We went on our honeymoon there and instead of making the wedding really obviously Halloween themed, we added the vintage New Orleans spin. It turned out to be the perfect mix!"

Scare-Fest Wedding & Searching for ‘The One’: Sarah & Colin
Kat
December 19, 2012
For their October wedding at Whittington Castle and Wattlesborough Village Hall, Sarah & Colin wanted a scare-fest. Halloween, pumpkins, zombies & vintage circus horror were their inspirations.
"When you first start to plan a wedding you are given strict instructions by every bride you know to research research research. You read magazines, you trawl through websites, you create a scrapbook of what you think your wedding should be", wrote newlywed Sarah. "I had 2 ½ years to plan my big day, and no matter what I saw I just didn't feel like it could be part of our day! Everything was so beautiful, classic, elegant... and so not us! I am mad about vintage but after heading to a vintage wedding fair I had started to lose hope. It was all too twee, too perfect. I am a rummage in the hay bales listing to The Coasters kinda vintage and it just wasn't there for me. Then after seeing a lady flying round the fair with pink hair, I was informed of Rock n Roll Bride by my friend Ffion and my world was changed! I saw couples who broke convention, who played their wedding their way and weren't afraid to let the world see their personalities through their big day!"
