Texas seems to be right up there with the awesome couples right now. Not a day goes by when I’m don’t receive an email which has winged it’s way over here from Southern America…and of course today is no different.
Jayme & Matt actually had their engagement session nearly a year ago with photographer Brandi Thompson but since then the couple both lost loads of weight and so wanted to celebrate with another one – who says one engagement session is enough? Don’t you just adore Jayme’s Iron Fist shoes too! I saw then in Schuh and tried them on myself – she rocks them more than I did though.
Thanks to the lovely Brandi for sharing and the stunning Jayme & Matt for being so kick ass.

Anna & Simon actually had two days to shoot their engagements with friend and photographer Steve Gerrard. They hit two locations which gave both sets a completely different look. First up was the quaint English town of Stratford-Upon-Avon (random fact of the day - where Shakesphere was born) and the second at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. I can't help but particularly love the night time/painting with light shots though - v. cool!
Thanks to Steve for shooting these over to me.

Gothic Woodland Engagement Shoot: Adriana & Ben
Kat
December 5, 2012
I do love winter wedding inspiration, but more than that, I love winter inspiration that's a little bit more edgy. Gothic even. To me, winter is the perfect opportunity to embrace your dark side.
And for their engagement shoot, Adriana & xx wanted to to just that as well. "I wanted to really go all out and embodied the darker side of us for our engagement shoot", Adriana explained. "We really weren't trying to be 'dark', we were just trying to be true to us. My fiancé is a musician and I am a event creative director, so I really wanted our passions to be apparent in this shoot. I wanted to create an enchanting feeling and our own little creative fantasy."

You've got to see Kassie & James' killer Roadhouse Relics (Texas) engagement shoot! The vintage, western, neon retro decor and 50's rockabilly vibe proved to be the perfect location for such an awesome couple. The store, which specialises in neon signs allowed the couple an hour to come in and get some fabulous photographs.

An Urban Beach Engagement Shoot: Jeni & Manny

I don't feature a while load of engagement sessions on my blog, but I simply couldn't resist Jeni & Manny's urban beach session. "When Boston make up artist/hair stylist extraordinaire, Jeni Teran, contacted me regarding engagement photos with her fiancé, I immediately started brainstorming!" wedding photographer Shannon Grant told me. "How would I do justice to such a sweet and (ahem) gorgeous couple?"

I have a little two part-er for you right now. Omar & Junela gothic engagement and Rock n Roll wedding were both so awesome I had to share them together - first up the ridiculously inspiring engagements. The editing is big, brash and in your face, but I think it really works with the gothic theme of this session. I am in actual LOVE!
Thanks to Jomel for sharing. Your work is amazing and so different. Love love love

The Happiest Place on Earth

Where could be a better place to celebrate the happiest time of your life that The Happiest Place on Earth!?
"Mary and her strange love for Disney that only a comic-goth girl could have, met Carlos the guitar player for an LA metal band in 2004" photographer Colette Lash told me. " They fit together like rockers and latex pants. Mary rocks out at Carlos' shows, and Carlos stand proudly by his girl for her art openings and show premieres (she's worked on all sorts of tv/movie cartoons that have her wicked sense of humor like South Park where she has been for a handful of years) The two make art together too, Carlos builds these guitars and Mary does beautiful paintings on them."
