Andrew and Caroline had an eclectic themed wedding in a tipi on a farm. They knew exactly the kind of wedding they wanted and they hired fantastic suppliers to bring their ideas to life! “Our wedding was a gorgeously unique quirky vintage wedding with boho vibes and laidback funkiness!” explained the groom, “After our church ceremony we had our reception in a tipi at Bassettwood Farm in Tissington. We looked at many venues but the farm was perfect for the kind of wedding we wanted. We wanted a relaxed day that flowed without stress or forced constriction and that is exactly what happened.”
One of the best things the couple did was start their planning early. “To be honest the whole planning process went very smoothly and was very relaxed”, Andrew continued. “We started planning the wedding very early, two years in fact. This early start combined with great suppliers gave for a trouble-free operation. Any issues were met by the suppliers with the ‘no problem’ attitude making the experience very pleasurable. The team at Peak Tipis were a dream to work with as was everyone else. We loved our flower arrangements and our naked cake. With very little guidance our suppliers took our initial brief instruction and wowed us on the day.”
“We did some DIY such as the Save the Dates, and we planned to do all the venue styling ourselves but in the end we decided to hire Mad Philomena – we’re so glad we did! Not only did we not have to worry about it on the day but she took our vision and ran with it in a way we couldn’t have done ourselves! We had fab lampshades, lots of authentic brass candlesticks, vintage linens, and a quirky dresser and cinema seats.”
“One of the most important things to us was having good food. We toyed with the idea of many different main meals but finally selected the simple yet delicious fish and chips (who doesn’t like fish and chips!?) followed by a trio of mouth-watering desserts. We also hired a photo booth which we would recommend to everyone! Adrian at Harvey and Harvey took our wedding theme graphics and integrated them into the photos.”
The bride wore a stunner of a dress from Amanda Wakeley with Vivienne Westwood x Melissa shoes. “We thought it would be difficult to match Caroline’s dress to the vibe of the wedding however on spotting this amazing dress from Amanda Wakeley she know it would be the one. She looked stunning in it the most beautiful girl in the world.”
“It’s impossible to pick just one favourite part of the day”, Andrew concluded. “The whole thing was amazing and we wanted to do it again right after”
