There was one thing more important to Jamie and Zach than anything else at their wedding – family. “We wanted all of our loved ones with us to make a day full of amazing memories”. said the bride. “Having our grandmothers as our flower girls was by far the best decision we made. My mother also walked me down the aisle.”
The wedding was held at John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove in Pennsylvania. The day had a laid back, rustic theme. “All of our escort cards, place cards, favours and decorations we hand made by my sister Nicole,” Jamie continued. “I can’t thank her enough for how much time she put into everything.”
“Zach was raised Jewish so our ceremony was a spin on the traditional Jewish ceremony. We were married under a birch wood chuppah covered in twinkle lights. It was a short and simple. We took out some of the Hebrew to make my family more comfortable since we are not religious.”
“The only thing I’d change is that I wish I didn’t stress out as much”, Jamie concluded. “Seeing the results of all our work was so amazing!”

An Independence Day Picnic Wedding: Sarah & Mike

August 27, 2012
Sarah & Mike were married on the weekend after Independence Day. They wanted a relaxed wedding that was a celebration, and one that all their family and friends would enjoy. "I would describe our wedding theme as a 'rural, homemade, Independence Day picnic'," began the bride. "We first looked at historic mansions in the area but quickly realized they would be out of our price range and we wouldn’t have much flexibility customizing our wedding. They would pick the DJ, and we’d have to select a meal from their menu for example. Then, when driving home from Baltimore one night, we drove past a park in Carroll County that was covered with beautiful flowers and several 18th century buildings, including a working gristmill. We stopped and walked around and discussed how perfect this place would be to get married and we decided to look into it. Luckily, they did allow weddings and after all the quotes we had from the mansions we were shocked at how affordable this place was!"

Charlie and Mark had a pretty unconventional, NSFW engagement shoot (which is actually one of my favourites we've ever published!) so, unsurprisingly, their September wedding shunned tradition too. They decided that they wanted a bohemian inspired by with elements of Peaky Blinders and Wes Anderson. They did lots of DIY projects to make their day feel really special and personal. In particular they arranged all the flowers and created all the paper goods (invites, table plan, order of the day etc).

After their small legal ceremony at Bletchley Registry Office, Hannah and Craig hosted their wedding in Craig's parent's back garden. They had a blessing followed by a marquee reception. The bride wore two dresses. The first, which she also wore again for dancing at the end of the night, was a bodice and skirt from BHLDN. Her second, more traditional gown was from Trudy Lee

You might think that there's nothing more traditional in English weddings than a country garden setting, but Abby and Hoi's big day was anything but quaint! They took the traditional elements and turned them on their head. From the bride's short polka dot dress and purple hair, to the Hello Kitty cake and the vintage ice cream cart for dessert, this was a wedding that was quintessentially 'them'.
