The massive variety of weddings that I get to feature is one of the best things about running this blog. I also love that nothing is off limits! A spaghetti themed wedding where the couple were married by a pirate in a courtyard in Poland? Oh go on then!
“My outfit was a too short white dress, and old leather belt which cost me 50 cents from a flea market in Morocco, stripy tights, cowboy shoes from Mexico and earrings and a necklace made from dried pasta and coloured with nail polish!”, began the Ola, the bride. “Aaron wore plaid pants, a ruffled tux shirt, a leather vest and a used car salesman jacket which all came from a thrift store. His belt was from Transylvania!”
“My bouquet was made from spaghetti and we didn’t serve cake – just giant pots of spaghetti which we made ourselves! In terms of entertainment we had a gypsy folk band, ping-pong, alcohol, a friend doing henna and a spaghetti fight!”
“The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster has been trying to get official status in Poland and we were the first wedding of its kind in Warsaw”, she explained. “We were married by a pirate, while dressed as pirates, and people threw spaghetti. Then we ate (different) spaghetti. Other than that, it was perfectly normal.”
relax . No matter how seriously you take it, it is a ridiculous tradition. Just look at us! Our biggest expense was spaghetti and spaghetti is cheap! We only with we had more of it… and more beer. We spent about €20 on the whole day!”

Honestly? I struggled with what to write about today. Usually on a Sunday I'll post something non-wedding related that's caught my eye or I'll share something exciting that I've done in the week. But I shared my Photography Farm retreat escapades in this week's Thursday Treats and since then I've basically been chained to my computer replying to the squillions of emails that came in whilst I was away and writing as many blog posts as physically possible. I also spent rather a lot of time on the phone to Cosmopolitan Magazine. NO BIG DEAL (more on this soon!)
And then this wedding pinged into my inbox and it all became clear.

Gena and Lea were married on the beach in front of The Shoosh Club in Brighton. They wanted a fun and relaxed wedding and so after lunch and milkshakes at JB's Diner they booked the VIP area of the club for their after party! Neither venues needed decorating and he whole thing was cost effective and chilled out for the couple and their guests.

People often ask me if I ever get bored of blogging about weddings. I can see why because usually once you've been doing something - anything - for as long as I have been doing this, it's natural to think that you might start to become a little 'over' it. Rain on your wedding day is a big worry for a lot of couples, but today I'm here to prove to you that it can actually be pretty amazing! Yes, Helen and James' outdoor festival wedding was a wash-out, but they definitely didn't let it ruin their day. Check out the amazing photographs their photographer Neil Thomas Douglas was able to capture... of course shots like this requires a couple who aren't afraid to get a little wet and muddy, but these guys went all out! They even went out in a boat on the river during the downpour!

Tattoos, tears and a seriously cute couple. Toni & Colin's wedding is what my dreams are made of. These guys are THE perfect Rock n Roll couple and they're wedding slays me. Plus they had Sassy of Assassynation as their wedding photographer so they instantly go way up in the cool stakes with me!
The wedding was held at The Quay, Musselburgh, on 10th November. "Colin and I met online what feels like a life time ago but wasn't all that long ago in the grand scheme of things", Toni began. "We spoke for a month or so online and then he made plans to come over from Northern Ireland to visit me in Edinburgh. 'I'll come for the weekend,' he said. Well, he arrived and he's yet to leave! We've lived together from day one and, including the night before the wedding, we are yet to spend one single night apart. It's a good job he makes me laugh as much as he does!"
