Emily and Bernard were married at Doe Bay Resort on Orcas Island in Washington. They wanted an intimate, special day and didn’t want to spend a lot of cash so they also thrifed wherever they could. Emily’s dress was by Free People , her shoes were from Goodwill and her jewellery was all vintage. Bernard’s outfit was also second-hand and all the flowers were picked from a nearby wood!
“We wanted the ceremony to reflect our natural and spiritual beliefs”, wrote the bride. “We made an alter of little things that are special to us: our dog’s collar (who is no longer with us), dried rose buds from my Grandmother’s youth, and a photo of us and our daughter. I also made all the flower arrangements using plants and flowers from the area.”
“The people who were there to celebrate with us really defined our day. The only thing we wanted to spend money on was a photographer, as we wanted to ensure we could remember the day forever.”

People often ask me if I ever get bored of blogging about weddings. I can see why because usually once you've been doing something - anything - for as long as I have been doing this, it's natural to think that you might start to become a little 'over' it. So while I'm not going to pretend that I'm always thrilled, overjoyed and amazed by every wedding that graces my inbox, I can safely say that I am probably as far from 'over' this job as I could be... especially when I get sent images like Polly and Jamie's wedding to drool over.

Tattoos, tears and a seriously cute couple. Toni & Colin's wedding is what my dreams are made of. These guys are THE perfect Rock n Roll couple and they're wedding slays me. Plus they had Sassy of Assassynation as their wedding photographer so they instantly go way up in the cool stakes with me!
The wedding was held at The Quay, Musselburgh, on 10th November. "Colin and I met online what feels like a life time ago but wasn't all that long ago in the grand scheme of things", Toni began. "We spoke for a month or so online and then he made plans to come over from Northern Ireland to visit me in Edinburgh. 'I'll come for the weekend,' he said. Well, he arrived and he's yet to leave! We've lived together from day one and, including the night before the wedding, we are yet to spend one single night apart. It's a good job he makes me laugh as much as he does!"

Carrie and Neil had a red and white wedding with rockabilly and polka dot touches! The day was held at Highbury Hall in Birmingham and was full of DIY décor. "We would like to think we were far more relaxed, friendly and laid-back than other wedding we have been to", began the bride. "So many weddings we have been to seem so stiff and uptight as a whole. We wanted a fun party atmosphere with a live band playing lots rockabilly, plenty of food for people to stuff their faces, and encouraged dancing until your feet dropped off. The word 'formal' never entered our vocabulary."
