You know, I often think people are a little disappointed when they find out that my life isn’t all that glamorous. I’d imagine people think bloggers are always being whisked off to fabulous parties and that we spend most of our time snapping our perfect instagram-worthy lives. But my everyday life couldn’t be further from that fantasy (case in point, taking the above photo was anything but professional!)

In reality, I spend the majority of my time in front of my computer, wearing sweatpants, writing emails, compiling wedding posts, doing admin for The Blogcademy and drinking copious cups of tea.

That’s not to say that I don’t love my job, and my life. In fact I’ve never been happier. While I do get invited to lots of parties and events, these days I turn 99% of them down. I much prefer being at home with my husband and our cats, or going out with my (real life!) friends.

This week has been another one of those not-very-exciting ones. And it’s been wonderful. Things are going to be cranked up about 685 notches when May hits and I get back on the road with The Blogcademy. I love travelling though, and spending all that time with Gala and Shauna is the best fun ever, but for now, I’m pretty happy to be permanently attached to my lounge wear.

HOWEVER, in saying all that, I am off to the Most Curious Wedding Fair in London this weekend. I’ll be there with Sophie selling headpieces and magazines on Friday night and all day Saturday. If you’re around be sure to come and say hello. I’d love to meet you!
