This wedding was sent to me by Victor Sizemore , the photographer behind the Carnival-esque wedding you all seemed to love so much. Tanya and Joel’s wedding is surely unique – gothy and fabulous. I love the black, white and red but the standout feature for me has got to be the rather spectacular venue! Isn’t it just a dream come true?!
The detail of the masks is so sweet. Tanya hand painted each mask, one per guest, which they not only wore but served as their reception placement card and favour – very personal and such a lovely idea, something the guests can enjoy on the day and will actually want to take home!
Enjoy…

So we're in to October already so you know what that means... Halloween! And for Oddd & Elle, despite being married in August, their favourite holiday was the obvious choice of theme for their epic wedding.
"Anyone who knows us knew that our wedding was going to be a little different, as we've always done things our own way", began the groom. "After a chance meeting when we were both invited last minute to a day out, we have been inseparable, We got engaged on our first Christmas day in our first home and we set our wedding date for our 9 year anniversary on Friday 17th August 2012."

Erin and Beau's October 31st wedding had a very obvious theme - skulls! "The theme for the wedding definitely had to incorporate skulls", said the bride. "I absolutely love all things skeleton, as does Beau. We were inspired by the cameo male and female skull tattoos that I have. We are also lovers of the colours black and red so it all just fell in to place really."

Night of the Living Wed

This ghoulish, retro horror themed wedding may not be everybodys cup of tea but I can't help but be a little over-excited about it. So. Much. Originality! Photographer Al, who has just been shortlisted for 'Tattoo Photographer of the Year' was keen to tell me all about Ash and Michelle Ghoulmore's (oh yes!) friday the 13th wedding.
The couple run retro rebels store and the horror-themed clothing company Kreepsville 666 so their wedding was always going to be a spooky special. 'Ghoulmore' actually is Ash's surname and they pretty much live Halloween everyday, so it was fitting to pick a horror / b-movie inspired Wedding theme.
"This meant I had to light the formals in a slightly different way to ensure I got that punchy highly saturated contrasty feel that fits with the mood" photographer Al told me. "This was the first time I've seen a smoke machine used during the ceremony! The archway was decorated with skulls and light like a stage. As you can see form the photos the cake was a skull and all the attendees got to take home a set of cast-silver effect fangs to say 'fangs for coming' [groan]. Zombina and the Skeletones provided the live music for the reception, again fitting the horror-rockabilly theme."

Cath and Tony chose their wedding venue, Ullet Road Unitarian Church in Liverpool for the dark gothic vibes and because their home is filled with ironic displays of religious iconography. The dark backdrop was perfect place for their celebration which included a cream Cadillac, a pizza wedding breakfast and an acrobat contorting herself to Metallica songs! They also had burlesque dancer, a lady wearing Prosecco skirt, a jazz singer, loads of neon signs and an arcade game station!
