As soon as I saw these engagements I thought to myself ‘oooh Grease!’ and it turns out I was right, photographer Stacey Ilyse was going for a 1950’s rockabilly style with this gorgeous session.
The photos took place on Coney Island and since Megan and Nathan love vintage, especially the 50s and are planning on having a 50s –esk Christmas wedding this upcoming Dec. We took the photos to go with that look since they also wanted to incorporate their engagement photos into their wedding day, using moo cards with their photos on them as “ornaments” on the Christmas tree ~ on the other side will have all the guests names and table seats.
The couple are getting married in December and Stacey assures me she will send me the results afterward..woo!

Tina & Derek's engagements in a burnt out house are so. damn. cool! I am loving the fireplace, the awesome chair and the feather. These have such an intense beauty to them...much love! Photographer Jen Arthur also shot some post wedding portraits as the couple eloped so didn't have pro wedding photographs, which I can't wait to see too.

‘Til Death Do Us Party Wedding Shoot: Angelo & Rin

"Angelo and I were super lucky to have design/photography duo Everywhere We Shoot on board to do our prenup photography," bride-to-be Rin writes. "These guys are friends who frequent the same gigs, art spaces, and thrift shops that we go to. Their philosophy has always been to keep doing and creating, not for money, but just because they love what they do. And knowing that we were on a budget-DIY-wedding, they agreed to do a pro bono engagement shoot for us in a heartbeat. I was also blessed to have a former schoolmate slash band groupie of mine, Kitty Caragay, do my make-up."

Honestly? I'm not going to pretend that I really understand this shoot... but for some reason I just really love it. It must be the weird juxtaposition between designer handbags, shoes on a roof, giant bunnies and bondage... and hell, I'm not adverse to a bit of randomness!
