Anna and Crissy knew from the moment they first watched Bridgerton during lockdown that it would be the inspiration for their wedding theme. The inclusivity of the show resonated with them, and its aesthetic – from the colours, to the decor, down to the animals at the petting zoo – provided endless inspiration.

“We did it exactly how WE wanted it. We had no outside pressure to add anything that didn’t resonate with us.” Crissy shared. “The entire wedding was DIY. We thrifted, spray-painted, repurposed, and collaborated with friends and family to bring everything together.”

The ceremony took place outside, framed by trees. Anna walked down the aisle with her parents to Turning Page by Sleeping at Last, while Crissy made her entrance with her nephew, Adrian, to The Swan by Camille Saint-Saëns. Laughter and tears flowed freely as they exchanged vows, surrounded by those they love most. “The ceremony was perfect”, Anna explained. “It was one of the most magical moments of our lives.”

The couple worked closely with Ena from In The Moment Design to curate the setting and included antique shop and thrifted as well as hand-assembled details such as the florals on the chairs and the seating chart. The the petting zoo was an undeniable hit wit everybody, and instead of a traditional wedding cake, they cut into a lemon meringue pie. The custom cake topper featured a miniature version of them.

When asked for advice, they keep it simple: “Don’t sweat the small stuff. Focus on how you feel and what’s important to you. And remember you’re on the same team! This wedding is the most exciting thing to happen so far, make the most of it and enjoy the moments.”
