Mountain Climbing Adventure Elopement

Adventure and Vow

February 3, 2025

Despite being neighbours in their hometown in India, Nitisha and Aditya met for the first time in Boston after matching on a dating app. They connected instantly and knew it was the start of something magical. After being engaged for a while, they decided to have an equally magical wedding—an elopement with a difference. Not only would it just be the two of them (and their photographer), but they also wanted to hike and rock climb—something they had bonded over early on.

The day began with them hiking in the dark to the top of a mountain. “We wanted to immerse ourselves in nature and mountains,” they told us, “settings we deeply connected with. This set the theme for our special day, and we found the perfect setting in the jagged Cascade Mountains and ocean-facing cliffs. Indian wedding traditions are typically very involved, with many rituals and people. We took a 180, creating a curated and intimate wedding experience, prioritising what means the most to us.”

They exchanged vows on top of Mt. Winchester, WA. It was the most beautiful setting they could have ever hoped for. “We wrote our vows the day before during a date night, which had us excited to share even more,” they explained. “We also carried our little stove to make coffee and breakfast right after, which added an element of our usual mountain time.”

As much as settling on a location was challenging, there is nothing they’d change about their experience. They loved the process of coming up with ideas and brainstorming possible spots. Most of all, they loved that their wedding was just for them, exactly as they wanted it.
