Wake up babes! It may be Boxing Day but the TEN YEAR ANNIVERSARY edition of Rock n Roll Bride magazine just dropped! When we launched our first bi-monthly issue in January 2015, NEVER, EVER could I have imagined that we’d get here! I’ll be sharing more about the journey we’ve had soon, but this is just your reminder to pre-order your copy of issue 60.
Maybe you just got engaged over Christmas (congrats!) or you have a bestie who did (a subscription makes a GREAT gift BTW) so here’s what you can expect in this, our 60th (!!) print issue.
We’ve given the magazine a fresh new look and a fresh new tagline – Rule Breaking Weddings. To me, this has always been what Rock n Roll Bride is about – doing your wedding your way, following traditions if they speak to you, but also being free to break the rules when your heart so desires.
Even though I’ve been publishing and talking about weddings online since 2007, stepping into print in 2015 felt like a monumental shift and a real bet on myself as a business owner. Staring a print magazine in an era where everything was shifting to digital was definitely a rule-breaking decision, but it’s still one I stand by to this day. I had to follow my own dreams, even though so many people said it would never work. A whole decade later, I think I can safely say we proved them wrong! Print will always have my heart, and although it’s been tough at times, I am incredibly proud that we’re still here, especially when so many other print magazines now disappeared.
This issue is all about celebrating the real essence of what Rock n Roll Bride is. I’ll leave you to flick through and discover that for yourself, but whether you’ve just got engaged over Christmas or you’re a veteran reader who can finally say, “We’re getting married THIS YEAR!” I am so happy that you’re here.
