As artists and co-creators of Freak Out!, a design workshop, Serena and Daniele approached their wedding as they would any creative project: with originality and their own aesthetic vision.

“We chose the Bauhaus style, a concept close to us, which became the motif for our wedding”, said Serena. “We carefully studied every detail, from the fonts for the invitations, the lines of the vases for the centerpieces, the chargers, and the flowers. The colour palette we chose was ocher, black, light pink, and cherry. We wanted our wedding to have its own character and a unique originality, unusual for a contemporary wedding, and we succeeded.”

Villa Il Cerretino, nestled in Poggio a Caiano in Italy, provided the perfect backdrop. With its unconventional architecture and flexible spaces, it was an ideal canvas for Serena and Daniele’s vision. The ceremony was set up with vintage furniture where guests could feel comfortable.

The reception began with a long drinks reception, while they waited for sunset. A trio of musicians set the tone, and then led guests to the villa’s upper terrace for dinner when it was time.

Round tables, dressed in white linens, were brought to life with bold, unconventional accents. Every the table settings carried the Bauhaus theme. The centrepieces—crafted from perforated sheet metal—contrasted with the soft textures of the floral arrangements. Painted steel vases, unique to each table, held yellow Craspedia and cherry Anthurium. PVC chargers with custom patterns, black glasses, and sleek black cutlery gave a nod to modernist design while maintaining a sense of fun.
