Inspired by the rebellious romance of Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian, Kristan and Dylan eloped in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Riding to the ceremony on their motorcycle, this day was only about one thing – them!
The bride’s entire outfit came from Amazon and as they had no guests and no reception, they were able to get hitched without much expense at all. In fact, the only thing they splashed on was their photographer who got some great shots of them outside the courthouse after the ceremony.
“Our wedding was a free spirited, run away to get married type thing”, the bride told us. “We were inspired by Travis and Kourtney, they definitely have a style we rock and love. We eloped and feel like this made the day special and unique. There is something about running away with our Harley to get married that just makes me happy.”
The ceremony was short and sweet, they recited traditional vows and didn’t have them photographed. “Our fave thing was just how simple we made it”, she continued. “Everything fell into place like it was meant to be. Planning the day solely around us, our wants and needs made it feel really special, and we saved money!”

When I featured Ainsley and Sebestien's engagement shoot in September I dubbed it "the coolest engagement shoot to date". I was pretty sure that their wedding would be suitably kick ass too but nothing (and I mean nothing!) could have prepared me for this.
While I was hanging out with their wedding photographer Janneke Storm in Queensland, she started to tell me more about their upcoming elopement in Las Vegas. I made her promise then and there to send me the photos to blog afterwards. Luckily for me (and you!) she did.

An intimate park ceremony, a trip to a cupcakery and a wedding that's an unpretentious as they get. With just $4000, Tyler & Revonna were wed at Council Crest Park in Portland, OR with just their two best friends in attendance. Their low key 'reception' was at Jake’s Grill, a local restaurant which they both love. The bride even made her own wedding dress, headpiece and the dress that her bridesmaid wore.

"Teresa & Russell’s wedding was like an elopement which included family and close friends", wrote wedding photographer Melina of Lucinda Photography. "They left their East Vancouver home with suitcases packed for their Montreal honeymoon for which they were leaving only a couple of hours after the ceremony! We did some whirlwind portraits in their neighbourhood before heading to Vanier Park to help friends set up some chairs and refreshments. Guests arrived, they were married, the mingled and they left. It was great."

As far as simple and breathtaking weddings go, I think this family focused elopement in Big Sur, California wins everything. It was just Ulysses, Cyntia and their two gorgeous children, Pheonix and Galaxy in attendance. Their officiant, Colette Cucchia, was there to marry them overlooking the water and their wedding photographer captured the whole thing beautifully.

This laid back couple met online and spent their first dates huddled on Laura's sofa, watching movies and eating food that she'd cooked. So needless to say when it came to their wedding they wanted to keep it as low key as possible too. "We have always been such an easy couple, lots of love and not much hassle of going overboard with things", Laura explained. "His proposal a year after we met was perfect. We were in the mall and he pulled me into a photo booth and he proposed while the photos were being taken inside. It was perfect!"

Now this, my friends, is what being a Rock n Roll bride is all about. It's not about flowers, or favours or a fancy wedding venue. It's not about what you wear, who your bridesmaids are or what theme you have. Being a Rock n Roll bride is about doing your own thing, marching to your own beat, and saying "I do" in a way that feels right for the two of you. That's exactly what Rob and Edie did which is why I'm so excited to share their wedding with you today.
