We’re a big fan of of all the colours here at Rock n Roll Bride, so for the cover shoot and editorial for the March/April 2020 edition we decided to embrace the pastel vibes of the season but to give it our own Rock n Roll twist. Our magazine subscribers LOVED this shoot and so today I wanted to share the full thing anyone who wants to see more. 10 pages just wasn’t enough HAHA!
We worked with a couple of new team members this time too. Cat of Cat Food Cakes made us the most awesome rainbow cake, while Katherine of Katherine Bly Floral Design took the brief and ran with it, creating us these stunning cloud-like installations made from dyed gypsophila.
If you’re a little bit girly but still have some edge, then you’re going to love this one. YES you can still be soft and pretty and hella punk on your wedding day. Enjoy!

There were two things we wanted to do with our Jan/Feb issue's shoot – to inject some much-needed colour into the proceedings, and to play around with gender expression. We’ve never had a male cover star, or done a shoot with just a male model, and this theme felt like the perfect opportunity to finally do so.

This shoot, as featured in Rock n Roll Bride magazine issue 24, was created by me and my team for the fearless bride who isn't afraid to push bridal fashion boundaries. We wanted to play with gender neutral tailoring and pair outfits with Converse or a pair of brogues to create an effortless and minimalist look.

One of the most fun and creative parts of my job is the editorial fashion shoots that I create with my INCREDIBLY TALENTED photo shoot team. For issue 10 (Sept/Oct 2016) we wanted to channel one of the original Rock n Roll couple: Elvis and Priscilla Presley. We used just one model, Tarla, who was actually the perfect Elvis and Priscilla, and we shot at Hotel Pelirocco in Brighton.

Emo fashion and music will always have a special place in my heart. For those of us who were teenagers in the early to mid-2000s, being ‘emo’ was how we first learnt to express ourselves.

If you grew up in the 80s and early 90s you probably have fond memories of movies like The NeverEnding Story and Labyrinth. The Jim Henson fantasy film starring David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly was a particular favourite of ours, and the bubble scene and Sarah’s ball gown made for perfect inspiration for issue 40's editorial shoot.

I am so excited to finally be publishing this bridal fashion editorial in full today! If you grabbed yourself a copy of the last issue of Rock n Roll Bride magazine you will have already seen a lot of this shoot inside, but today I wanted to take the opportunity to not only share more images that didn't quite make the spread (when 10 pages just isn't enough!) but to tell you all about Walthamstow Wetlands, one of London's coolest new wedding venues, who we partnered with for this shoot.
