Today’s real wedding oozes Tuscan charm; by focusing on the beauty of simplicity, Laura and Andrea allow their authentic bohemian personalities to shine through.
Married in August 2019 at Pieve di Romena in Pratovecchio, Tuscany, the couple had an uncharacteristically small traditional ceremony followed by a reception at a winery. Laura wore a backless Rue de Seine gown with feather earrings with her hair in a rustic single braid and a bouquet of eucalyptus and coral roses.
Their reception venue, Tenuta la Striscia, already had the makings for a perfect beatnik party. The beautiful gardens were filled with daybeds, rustic furniture, lanterns and fairy lights. Laura and Andrea kept additional decor simple with jars of eucalyptus, rugs and scatter cushions; less things to fuss about meant they were able to focus on enjoying the party!
The couple met through their passion for music; she is a singer and Andrea plays guitar. They now perform together, so incorporating music in their wedding was a no-brainer. They put together a CD as favours for their guests of their unreleased songs, and hired the quirky Piccola Orchestra Ochtopus, as well as a DJ to entertain their guests during their reception.
When asked if they had any advice for future couples, Laura hits the nail on the head when it comes to what really matters; “Focus on having a wonderful day full of love, friendship and sharing. It’s the beginning of a new life cycle for you and your partner so get excited and have fun; it’s your party!”
