Ty and Aaron spent just $1000 on their wedding because they eloped! They used Simply Eloped to help them plan the day, and chose Nelson Ghost Town, which is a 45 minute drive from Las Vegas, as the location. They found the whole process easy and stress-free because they left everything to their planner and they had no guests to deal with. All they had to do was choose their outfits and show up – what a dream!
The ceremony, officiated by Timeless Connection , was short and sweet and they read their vows to each other underneath a rugged and beautiful arch with cacti and mountains as their backdrop. Afterwards they wandered around the town with their photographer, Alycia , and found different locations to take their photos.
Ty’s dress was pre-owned which also saved money. In the end they were completely happy with how they chose to marry – they wouldn’t have changed a thing about it!

When I featured Ainsley and Sebestien's engagement shoot in September I dubbed it "the coolest engagement shoot to date". I was pretty sure that their wedding would be suitably kick ass too but nothing (and I mean nothing!) could have prepared me for this.
While I was hanging out with their wedding photographer Janneke Storm in Queensland, she started to tell me more about their upcoming elopement in Las Vegas. I made her promise then and there to send me the photos to blog afterwards. Luckily for me (and you!) she did.

It's not often a wedding literally stops me in my tracks but as soon as Emma and Ian's Las Vegas wedding landed in my inbox I was OBSESSED. Their email read, "Dear Kat, we got married at The Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas on September 21st. The bride is Emma, a funeral director, the groom is Ian, a musician and artist. We had planned a holiday visiting friends in Vegas and thought it was the perfect opportunity for a quiet, intimate ceremony… Oh and the groom is a crossdresser and insisted on having a dress too."

A Vegas Wedding in the Cosmopolitan Hotel Pop Up Chapel: Ashley & Jeremy

March 19, 2012
Ashley & Jeremy are wedding photographers so were in Las Vegas at the same time as I was for WPPI. After the Airplanes & Blazers party (which I was also at...!) Jeremy was sitting at a table with Patrick from StillMotion (while Ashley was off in the bathroom) and Jeremy was telling Patrick he would love to propose. Patrick encouraged him, telling him if he proposed and they got married while they were all still in Vegas, Patrick would shoot it!
When Ashley returned, Patrick proposed, right there and then by saying "Will you marry me...on Wednesday?!" So just 36 hours later, they were married in the Pop Up Wedding Chapel at the Cosmopolitan Hotel with all of their best wedding photographer friends from WPPI watching.
