I’m not supposed to have favourites, but if there was one wedding fair that I loved more than any others, it would be The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza.
There are many, MANY fantastic alternative wedding shows about these days, but unlike the others, EWE is catered for exactly the kind of brides (and grooms!) who read and love Rock n Roll Bride. If you want to do your wedding your way, if you aren’t afriad for people to think your ideas are ‘weird’, if you’d rather cover your hair in glitter, get a dress designed especially to show off your tattoos and wear a pair of Irregular Choice shoes rather than some fancy designer kicks – well this is the wedding show for you!
Plus, it’s run by some of my favourite people in the UK wedding industry – Jo of The Couture Company and Sassy of Assassynation. The most genuinely lovely, genuinely caring, bad ass babes who have the same attitude to life, business and weddings as I do. Quite simply, Rock n Roll Bride + The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza = a match made in heaven.
Which is why, for the second year running, I am thrilled to let you know that this is the only wedding show we’re appearing at!
PLUS I’m very excited to share that Jo and I are collaborating on some jackets (!) which you may have seen me sneaking on Instagram over the past few months. They’ll be available online really soon and we’ll have samples at the show if you’d like to see them in person too – eek!!!
The show is taking place on November 10th and 11th at The Bond in Birmingham and will feature over 60 amazing alternative exhibitors as well as a Christmas market, food and drink stalls, workshops and talks, and a real bride’s catwalk. Plus their infamous sheep hunt will be happening again with most of the exhibitors taking part and giving away hundreds of pounds worth of prizes!
Advance tickets are on sale right now for just £8 a pop or can be grabbed on the door for £10. Kids also get in free. PLUS all Rock n Roll Bride readers get 25% off advanced tickets using the discount code ROCKEWE at the checkout! If you know you want to come I would suggest getting your tickets online because at the March show the Saturday event did sell out before it even opened its doors!
To keep up to date with all EWE news, why not join their Facebook page? And if you’re a wedding supplier thinking you’d like to exhibit, they do still have availability. Simply drop them an email to hello@allaboutewe.co.uk.
