It may be averaging 30 °C outside at the moment, but autumn is coming soon my friends! Don’t get me wrong, I adore the summer, but it’s around this time of year where I also begin to hanker after knitted sweaters, bonfires and all the white hot chocolate (with extra marshmallows please and thank you).
If you’ve been feeling the same then you’re going to love gazing longingly over Brittney and Trav’s Pennsylvania wedding. Using autumnal colours in their flowers and the bridal party attire, and even having fresh donuts made by grandma for dessert, there’s SO much to love in this early November wedding.
“Our theme was boho glam”, explained the bride. Our inspiration was wanting to reflect our very own personalities and styles. All of the details were us to a T! It all started with my stunning bouquet of flowers. We had the groomsmen in the most amazing burgundy coloured suits. It’s uncommon for the men to be the more extreme ones in their attire choices, but these guys went all out!”
The ceremony was officiated by Drena, a family friend. Brittany wrote the entire script herself, wanting to make it as personal as possible. “Our ceremony was not traditional at all. It was short and sweet and to the point. It expressed our love perfectly.”
f their $30,000 budget, their biggest cost was their venue, The Booking House. However it was the only place they wanted to get married, so much so that the bride took on a second job so they could afford it! “I could not have imagined having our wedding anywhere else”, explained Brittany. “However we managed to save by having a dessert bar with my work friends making cakes and cupcakes. The donuts also saved us a ton of money.”
“Finally seeing all of my hard work and vision for our wedding day come to life was the best part of the wedding planning”, she concluded. “The worst was the never ending money that was always leaving my bank account! However there is nothing we would have done differently. the day was truly perfect.”
