This week was a big one in the British wedding industry. It was time for The White Gallery and London Bridal Fashion Week , two events that run simultaneously in the capital. Bridal fashion week is the same as ‘normal’ fashion week really; designers exhibit their new collections to the press and boutiques so we know what to talk about/ stock for the coming season!
Here are some of the best things I saw…

That Sassi Holford rose dress, oh my goodness! I hope I’ll see a real Rock n Roll bride in that soon. I’ll be honest, I’ve never really enjoyed fashion week that much in the past. I always found it a litttttle bit boring and the new designs all very same same, but this year I totally stand corrected, it was awesome!
I mean, just check out all the shoe prettiness. Boring, ivory satin these are not!

♥ My babe Crown and Glory will be hosting her first ever pop-up show at Anges de Sucre in Kensington, London this weekend AND I CAN’T WAIT! I’ll be there on the Saturday and I’m so excited to design my own floral crown, headband or fascinator (or erm, maybe all three!) The Crown and Glory Candy Shop runs Friday 22nd May – Sunday 24th May.

Happy Thursday my little muffins! The weekend is nearly upon us as we're edging closer and closer to the big C... oh yes I am so excited for Christmas already. We haven't got our tree up yet but - and this is a big but - I have managed to start my Christmas shopping which is always a huge weight off my shoulders. Does anybody else get Christmas shopping anxiety!? I never want to be the one to buy the rubbish gifts! Anyway, I've broken the seal this year and - shock horror - I've actually been enjoying it. I am on the look out for gift guides for geeky, picky and very specific long haired men though. Gareth is impossible to buy for! Any ideas?

Well, Queensland you certainly haven't disappointed! After a 24 hour journey (London to Dubai to Singapore to Brisbane) I touched down in Australia just before 1am on Sunday morning. I was dreading having such a long flight but I need not have worried. I flew with Emirates, who I’ve never experienced before, and they were amazing! The planes not only had wifi (!!) but power outlets behind every seat… which, when you’re a computer addict like me is a total revelation! I spent most of my time in the air obsessively devouring Homeland episodes (my latest TV obsession) and writing – bliss!

I have no idea what's in store for me over the next three and a half weeks. Having such a packed schedule recently means that I've had little to no time to research much of what Gala, Shauna and I will be getting up to while we're down under. Thank goodness for Virgo friends who obsessively arrange everything on your behalf! All I do know is the week before our first class in Brisbane I've been promised a spa day, surfing lessons, koala cuddling and zip-wiring through a rainforest. WHAT!? Oh you bet ya I'll be reporting back on all this stuff when I return.

Wooohooo guess where we're flying off to today!? Yeah I know, I'm subtle aren't I!? Gareth & I are off for 2 weeks and I couldn't be more excited. We've hired an apartment, we're gonna hang out with Gala & Mike (I'm well excited to meet Mr. Darling!) and Megan & Dave who are flying in from Omaha to see us. I'm also dying with the anticipation of making a brand new BFFs in Christina of Made u Look Photography who's going to be shooting Gareth & I! Squeeee!

Thursday Treats – 26th July 2012: Hello Sunshine!

Wow, what a scorcher this week has been! I ain't complaining (honest!) but my productivity has gone waaaay down. That glorious sunshine outside my window has just been too darn tempting. I did purchase the brightest neon orange dress known to man though. I am seriously excited to wear blind people in this baby!
I also found out this week that I'm going to be featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine! I don't usually mention my press features here anymore but this is a really exciting one. I'm going to be profiled in their 'So you think you want my job?' section and oh boy I can't wait. Squeeeeeal!
But the biggest news of the week is that a truckload (literally) of copies of issue two of the Rock n Roll Bride print magazine are being delivered to our house tomorrow!! I know, I KNOW It's taken so flippin' long to get this project completed but oh boy it is gonna be worth it. I have a new found respect for anyone in the magazine industry. How they manage to pull together monthly editions is beyond me! Issue two is bigger, better and even more glorious than the first. Again, we've ordered a limited print run, so be sure to pop by the blog 9am on Monday to find out how you can get your hands on a copy! HOLY GUACAMOLE I MIGHT EXPLODE.
