Nicole and Caio’s Brazilian wedding was a huge explosion of colour and fun. They planned the entire thing themselves, inspired by 1950s Rock n Roll and rainbows!
“Our wedding theme was vintage rock”, began the bride. “All the decorations and stationery were handmade by the groom. Our main colours were lilac, blue, green, orange and pink and our bridesmaids and groomsmen all had outfits based on one of the five colours. On the tables we had bottles and homemade lampshades as decorations, we had a wall with photos of us growing up on, and we had a Gibson guitar with our wedding logo on it.”
“We did lots of DIY which saved us money”, she continued, “including my bouquet made of paper flowers, the invitations, the glass bottles on the tables and the photo wall. We also had ‘wedding survival kits’ in the restrooms, personalised napkins with our wedding logo on and favour bags with sweets inside.”
“The best bit of the day was our first dance because instead of a traditional waltz, we danced to Jailhouse Rock“, the bride concluded. “People loved it and we had a great time! Our advice to other couples would be to do your research, save your money and do everything you really want to do. Also DIY lots of things to make everything unique for you and your guests.”
