Devin and Nina were married at the Solitude Mountain Ski Resort in Utah, in May. Her completely stunning dress was ‘Josee’ by Grace Loves Lace . “For our wedding day I wanted simple, and unique”, she wrote. “We were exhausted of going to the same wedding over and over and wanted to do something a little different.”
“Our ceremony was simple, intimate and held at the snowy Solitude Ski Resort and the reception was at Frida Bistro . The two atmospheres combined made for a very memorable special day that was perfect for us. Not too formal, and a little out of the ordinary.”
“Instead of having a sit down formal dinner we opted for a more fun and interactive feel by having a taco truck, churro bar and margaritas! The reception was held at an old train station that has been converted into a warehouse.”
“I picked a dress from Grace Loves Lace, I was extremely nervous ordering my wedding dress online from Australia, but I couldn’t find anything in stores that I loved as much as what they had to offer. It was very very worth it in the end!!”

Linda & Tyler's wedding makes me yearn for long lazy summer nights and scorching beaches. I could drink up this wedding and be satisfied for days...And with the event taking place at a venue called Paradise Gardens, is it any wonder?
"Our wedding day was a wonderful accumulation of memories that we will embrace forever," Linda told me. "We’re beyond grateful for the love we have for one another and the natural way it shone through onthat day. I feel that every aspect of the wedding screamed us - from the lotus field, to the sounds of Devendra Banhart wailing, to the venue bathed in tea land gold! Our venue was amazing and we were ecstatic to have found this exotic little gem tucked away in the hills of Oceanside."

As far as simple and breathtaking weddings go, I think this family focused elopement in Big Sur, California wins everything. It was just Ulysses, Cyntia and their two gorgeous children, Pheonix and Galaxy in attendance. Their officiant, Colette Cucchia, was there to marry them overlooking the water and their wedding photographer captured the whole thing beautifully.

Spring has very much sprung over here in the UK. And as the daffodils start to line streets and parkways, I usually forgo featuring any obviously winter weddings. After all, who want to be reminded of the cold and bleak mid-winter when it's so glorious outside?! Well Meghann & Nathan's wedding was different. They were married in the Colorado Mountains, where snow is a pretty regular feature. They also had a steampunk theme and only spent $2000 on the day, making it a wedding that I just knew you guys would flip out about. So, yet again, my self-imposed rules are being broken today. Oh well!

A DIY Wedding with a Mountaintop View: Larry & Chelsea

Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as Larry & Chelsea's mountaintop wedding? Just look at that view! The lucky couple we're married at the bride's parents home (OK I'm now officially jealous) and although it doesn't look like it, they had a small budget to work with.
"Although we had financial limits, hand making everything not only saved us money, but it made everything much more personal and special," Chelsea told me. "I will cherish every hilarious moment I spent crafting and to finally see all our hard work come together was awesome. I never thought I could pull it off and I got it all done in time and I am damn proud of myself!! The essential item to a DIY wedding? Get a dang glue gun girl...Oh and start early!!!"
The bride wore two dresses, the first, from David's Bridal for the ceremony, and the second, a one of a kind custom made dress by Deborah Lindquist.

Sam & Dave wanted an intimate ceremony, just the two of them, so they were married in their own living room. Afterwards they hosted their reception for all their friends & family at Zeitlos, a bar in Hamburg.
"The inspiration for our wedding started with what we didn't want", began the bride. "We'd been to lots of weddings before and they showed us all the things we didn't want to have! We wanted a small ceremony just with the two of us, telling each other what we really feel without having everyone's eyes on us. This was really important to as as sometimes we're not that good at showing our feelings with others around (for example, at the registry office we first shook hands to congratulate each other instead of kissing!) We didn't want it formal and stiff and traditional, we wanted a party."
