Greetings from Heathrow airport! Terminal 3 does feel like it’s become a home away from home for me recently. I actually quite like being here, especially as I have my airport routine down . I know which security line is likely to be the quickest (always wait with the single people with briefcases, even if the queue is slightly longer – never get stuck behind a family!) where to get the best deal on currency and who does the most delicious breakfasts (it’s Rhubarb by the way…)
I’m off to Canada for just over a week to teach two more Blogcademy workshops . The first is in Vancouver on 7th and 8th and the second in Calgary on 14th and 15th. We still have a few spaces left for both classes, so if you’d like to come along, we’d love you have you! (Just a gentle word of warning, this is likely to be the only time we ever teach in Canada, so miss out at your peril!)
Now when Gala, Shauna and I get together, most of our conversations inevitably revolve around our favourite subjects – business, blogging and the internet! Which is why we really love hosting our FREE livestreams and inviting you in on the discussion.
We will be broadcasting a LIVE Q&A session from our Vancouver apartment on Tuesday 10th at 11am PST (that’s 2pm EST and 7pm GMT). If you can’t tune in at the time, don’t worry, we’ll record it and put it online afterwards. If there’s something you’d like to know, go through to the event page and submit a question by clicking the Q&A button.
Maybe you have some general questions about your blog or business that you’d like us to help with? Or you’ve been wondering something about Home School or our Mixer event ? Maybe you just want to know what shampoo Gala uses to get her hair so damn shiny, who Shauna’s musical heroes are or why I’m so obsessed with tea!?
We’ll do our best to answer as many as physically possible in an hour, and we promise, nothing is off limits!
OK, that’s it from me for now. I’m off to catch my flight. Enjoy this week’s Thursday Treats and I’ll see you on the other side (of the pond!)

Oh my God, I'm BACK! I know it's a terrible cliché but these past two weeks have been a whirlwind of epic proportions. From Reading to Santorini to Mykonos to London (where we taught two back-to-back workshops no less, what were we thinking?!) Gala, Shauna and I haven't had much time to rest, but we've had the time of our lives in the process.

Happy Thursday my little muffins! The weekend is nearly upon us as we're edging closer and closer to the big C... oh yes I am so excited for Christmas already. We haven't got our tree up yet but - and this is a big but - I have managed to start my Christmas shopping which is always a huge weight off my shoulders. Does anybody else get Christmas shopping anxiety!? I never want to be the one to buy the rubbish gifts! Anyway, I've broken the seal this year and - shock horror - I've actually been enjoying it. I am on the look out for gift guides for geeky, picky and very specific long haired men though. Gareth is impossible to buy for! Any ideas?

Well, Queensland you certainly haven't disappointed! After a 24 hour journey (London to Dubai to Singapore to Brisbane) I touched down in Australia just before 1am on Sunday morning. I was dreading having such a long flight but I need not have worried. I flew with Emirates, who I’ve never experienced before, and they were amazing! The planes not only had wifi (!!) but power outlets behind every seat… which, when you’re a computer addict like me is a total revelation! I spent most of my time in the air obsessively devouring Homeland episodes (my latest TV obsession) and writing – bliss!

I have no idea what's in store for me over the next three and a half weeks. Having such a packed schedule recently means that I've had little to no time to research much of what Gala, Shauna and I will be getting up to while we're down under. Thank goodness for Virgo friends who obsessively arrange everything on your behalf! All I do know is the week before our first class in Brisbane I've been promised a spa day, surfing lessons, koala cuddling and zip-wiring through a rainforest. WHAT!? Oh you bet ya I'll be reporting back on all this stuff when I return.

Thursday Treats – 26th July 2012: Hello Sunshine!
Kat
July 26, 2012
Wow, what a scorcher this week has been! I ain't complaining (honest!) but my productivity has gone waaaay down. That glorious sunshine outside my window has just been too darn tempting. I did purchase the brightest neon orange dress known to man though. I am seriously excited to wear blind people in this baby!
I also found out this week that I'm going to be featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine! I don't usually mention my press features here anymore but this is a really exciting one. I'm going to be profiled in their 'So you think you want my job?' section and oh boy I can't wait. Squeeeeeal!
But the biggest news of the week is that a truckload (literally) of copies of issue two of the Rock n Roll Bride print magazine are being delivered to our house tomorrow!! I know, I KNOW It's taken so flippin' long to get this project completed but oh boy it is gonna be worth it. I have a new found respect for anyone in the magazine industry. How they manage to pull together monthly editions is beyond me! Issue two is bigger, better and even more glorious than the first. Again, we've ordered a limited print run, so be sure to pop by the blog 9am on Monday to find out how you can get your hands on a copy! HOLY GUACAMOLE I MIGHT EXPLODE.

Gee wizzola what a fortnight! My jet-lagged brain is currently struggling to catch up with life let alone put any kind of semblance of sense into writing some blog posts, so I apologise in advance if this post is a little...chaotic.
