Sometimes I read wedding blogs and wonder if there are even grooms involved in some of the weddings. I’m all for the girly stuff but I also really love to see a wedding where the couple have clearly worked together to plan the day. I mean, there’s really nothing manly about pink peonies or soft tulle or teeny tiny little cupcakes…
I know that I can be just as bad as the rest (I am a girl after all!) but I am also totally thrilled when I get the chance to talk about stuff for the dudes. So don’t go forgetting your man when it comes to planning all things wedding, he’s a big part of this day too remember and definitely needs to also look his super stylish best.
Introducing the awesomeness that is Mama Wolf and their bad ass ethical accessories for men.
Created by Sandeep Pawar, each item is handmade in the UK and created from ethically sourced fabric (either fair trade, upcycled, second hand or organic). So no longer will your man have to shudder at the thought of wearing some shiny Moss Bros monstrosity on the biggest day of his life. These pieces totally ooze cool.
“This little venture of mine was borne out of a love for sewing and the thrill of creating something beautiful by hand”, writes Sandeep. “It was also partly down to the frustration of the limited selection of fashion accessories that are out there for men. When tie shopping for my brother, I was astounded by the number of shiny and clown size ties that were on offer. Where was the pure cotton range? Where were the subtle and warm prints….where was the class and style? And another thing, who actually made this tie in South Korea? My trip to the high street left me enraged and saddened. So I made one for him. Then I made another… and then another. Before I knew it I had so many that I didn’t know what to do with them and quickly ran out of men to send them to…”
“That was three years ago and I now offer a wide range of ethical and handmade neck and bow ties, hankies and pocket squares. I’m also super excited about my bespoke wedding and occasion service. It’s very close to my heart as I like to work with my clients to ensure that they are involved in every step of the process from selecting the fabric, to agreeing on size and shape. To make my clients feel extra special, I also offer the option of personalised embroidery. This means that if there is a special date or words they would like embroidered discreetly into the lining of the tie, or maybe have their initials added to their hankie or pocket square then this can all be arranged too. My working ethic is built on respect and accountability and I will always try my darndest to meet my clients needs and make the whole experience fun and stress free.”
“I love Rock n Roll Bride and I’m so thrilled to be sharing my work with your awesome readers. In fact when I was getting married I mined the net for wedding inspiration on a daily basis. I got so bored of looking at silver, white and traditional weddings and hardly anything creative for men. When I found Rock n Roll Bride it was a revelation! It was a welcomed haven from the crud that is a huge majority of the wedding industry. In fact I distinctly remember looking at Kat’s face on her blog and thinking ‘I’m knee deep in wedding world shite and I’ve just found my way out. Thank GOD!’”
“I hope Mama Wolf can, in a small way, do that for some people too. My label is designed for real and individual people with real budgets. Prices range from just £6 – £40, and quotes for the bespoke service can be given on request.”

Both the tie and pocket square come with discreet embroidery which has been done using vintage Pearsall’s filoselle silk (made in the UK) in pastel shades of biscuit, pink and green. This detail is also featured on the pocket square towards the centre, so that it can be visible when being worn.
