The bitter Winter weather seems to finally be waning and it’s almost felt like the start of Spring across the south of England this week. So what could be a better way to celebrate than a perfectly boho inspired beach photo shoot?
“We wanted to mesh the elegance of a tea party with the mellow relaxation of the bohemian lifestyle with this shoot”, wrote photographer Yuna Leonard . “By choosing elements from both avenues – the beautiful vintage cups and saucers, along with the seating pillows and lace table overlay – we crafted a modern take on a classic event. We also found inspiration within our location, pairing the muted backdrop of the rocky beach with a soft, warm-spring-inspired color palette.”
Edit: As this post went live, it started to snow outside my office window again. Typical.

Jesse and Charlie live in a hut on the banks of a river with no electricity, sing in a band, home made pretty much everything and only wear charity shop or home made clothes - so her idea was perfect for them!

Surprise Pool Party Wedding Recreation

Oh I love a surprise wedding! And a surprise wedding + pool party!? EPIC!
But this wasn't actually a real wedding (sad face) although it was set up as a recreation of the actual wedding of some friends of the photographer who were married 30 years ago. Jessie & Kenny had this actual wedding, in this exact same spot in 1982 (some of their wedding photos are at the end of the gallery - how amazing are they?!) So to celebrate, and to have an their anniversary party with a difference, they decided to relive the whole thing. This is a styled shoot with a difference and, yes, they really had the big party afterwards!

There's nothing that evokes childlike wonder quite like mermaids. I don't think there's any girl who watched The Little Mermaid as a kid and afterwards didn't wanted to be one... So when this shoot, although not strictly wedding inspired, landed in my inbox, I knew I wanted to share it with you. It's pure fantasy but that doesn't make it any less fabulous.

There's been all sorts of uproar in the press about Ariel having given blonde hair (shock horror!) in the Little Mermaid reboot that's set to hit the silver screen in 2017... but imagine if they made Eric a girl! How amazing would that be!? OK so that'd probably not going to happen in Hollywood, but it did at Fremantle’s South Beach, Western Australia!
