The idea behind Rebecca & Ben’s engagement shoot was a simple one – to capture them in some of their favourite places in their own neighbourhood in Brooklyn.
“We went to their local bookstore, record store, and a fantastic hand crafted furniture shop (in the beginning of the set with the horse and cool stuff) called From The Source ,” photographer Evangeline Lane told me. ” Some of my favorite shots are those in the elevator…which was a spontaneous spur of the moment decision.”
Rebecca’s beautiful hand-stitched dress came from her favourite boutique, Meg .
Huge love and thanks to Rebecca, Ben & Evangeline for sharing these with us today.

Nikki and Mark wanted their engagement shoot to be intimate, sensual and artistic so decided to strip off and use it to connect back to the core of who they both are.

I must preface this feature by letting you all know that this is an explicit photo session, and one that not everyone will be comfortable looking at. But in the spirit of Rock n Roll Bride being about self-expression and doing whatever is right for you and your partner, I really wanted to share it! There are a lot of NSFW photos featured below and while I personally think they're really tastefully done and the story behind them is one worth sharing, I understand that not everyone will agree.

Vancouver Island in British Columbia was the perfect spot for this DIY shoot - oh yes, I said DIY - the pair made their outfits themselves from scratch!
